HONEY BREAD!

there is nothing I like better than honey bread in cafes! the best one is at Coffine Gurunaru and the other one that I always have is at Angel in Us. which Kate calls Angelanus because of some video she watched. pffft.

they serve a good standard honey bread where they call it maple syrup bread or something but you can always say honey bread and they’d give you the same thing ^^. Continue reading “HONEY BREAD!” →

[Seoul: Hongdae] 아뜰리에 데코아발림 Atelier Decoa Ballim

one of the best cheesecake they said. I read about this cafe on many blogs and they have all given awesome comments on their not-so-mainstream cheesecake.

located at Hongdae; or  near Sangsu Station exit 1. included a map at the bottom of the post =). this place look like they serve very nice brunch as well but I forgot to take a picture of their very cute menu. =D. I think I am losing the blogging sense =S. Continue reading “[Seoul: Hongdae] 아뜰리에 데코아발림 Atelier Decoa Ballim” →

[Seoul: Sinchon] Cafe Container : Patbingsu Tower

so a few days ago Wai Kit sent me a picture of this tower patbingsu and asked me if I was interested. I’ve known about this oreo patbingsu for a long time since I often walk pass it. but little did I know, their oreo patbingsu is incredulously tall.

IMG_2024 copy

the location is rather easy to find. it’s on that road from U-plex (Sinchon) towards Megabox (Edae). for foreigners it might be a little tricky. but just get off at Sinchon (line 2 green line) and take the the U-plex (complex exit and you will see the red mirror tube thingy) exit. cross over to the other side of the road (you will see Etude House on the other side of the road.). you should see Krispy Kreme, Look Optical and Olive young on your side of the road as you walk. just walk straight!!!!!!!!!!! about 5 minutes walk. just keep on your side of the road. [Seoul: Edae] make your own cake!

the good thing about living in Korea is that there are 101 types of different activities for lovers. well, not only lovers can do these sort of stuff sometimes. we were the only ones who were not preparing the cake for our lovers. but we still had loads of fun!

every stick costs 700won. expensive. yes I know. 2 Marshmallow costs 1000won. 2 puny Marshmallows. hah. I can buy a whole bag of it from Olive Young or Watsons with that price. well if you are a cheapskate like me you can always leave a space on the cake and buy your marshmallows and decorations later =P. [Seoul: Insadong] Korean Traditional Tea

Insadong is known for being Korea’s traditional district and you’d see shops like Starbucks for example in Korean words instead of English because they think that by having everything Korean, it’s sustains the traditional feel of Insadong. I personally love going to Insadong despite the crowd of foreigners especially the route from Insadong to Samcheongdong. it’s just my favourite.

believe it or not, these are crackers. getting really famous there. but I felt it’s a little dirty =S. don’t wanna try it. Continue reading “[Seoul: Insadong] Korean Traditional Tea” →

[Seoul: Samcheongdong] the 2nd best place in Seoul 서울서 둘째로 잘하는 집

that’s the name of the dessert/tea shop.

since 1976, the 2nd best place in Seoul is still as popular and you’d find it full almost everytime.

IMG_9970 copy

located near the end of the Samcheongdong road, it’s relatively easy to find. if you’re walking from Gyeongbokgung, the shop will be on the right side. Continue reading “[Seoul: Samcheongdong] the 2nd best place in Seoul 서울서 둘째로 잘하는 집” →

why you should eat Baskin Robbins in Korea.

their number of chains here are madness. you will SURELY stumble across Baskin Robbins if you were to be in Seoul for a few days. SURELY. around my area, there’s already 3. and all of it is usually packed with people even in such a weather.

Baskin Robbins? mehhhh. I had it in Malaysia and it wasn’t really my cup of tea. it was so super sweet and I can’t help but to feel guilty every time I had it. the only few times I had Baskin Robbins in KL was probably just because it had a promotion and I’d opt for the choco flavour as sweet choco isn’t so bad.

as for here, originally I thought it’s going to be like everything else, being more expensive than KL. but to my surprise, it’s actually CHEAPER than KL! everyone here come in either pairs or a group. pairs would order..

something like this. a plate of SOMETHING. there was even ice cream on toast which looked.. weird. Continue reading “why you should eat Baskin Robbins in Korea.” →

9 Berries is a hidden GEM.

I kind of did a breif review on 9 Berries Frozen Yoghurt Ice Cream but here’s the more comeplete one. because I think it’s completely under rated and I believe just ONE TRY, and you’ll be back there again. and trust me, the walk is 100% WORTHY.

IMG_6052 copy

this is KL City Walk’s entrance. just drop by Pavilion/KLCC and take that overhead bridge that connects both Pavilion and KLCC and it’s in the middle of it. =D. you’ll see it. Continue reading “9 Berries is a hidden GEM.” →

[Malaysia: Pavilion KL] Ochado

the huge Chatime opened outside Lot 10 but the one in Pavilion is still going to take 30minutes for you to get your drink. so, the alternative is OCHADO, the one located at Tokyo Street. of course, they all have a queue. but it only took us roughly 5minutes for all the queuing up and waiting for the drink. much better, no?

IMG_5103 copy

to be honest, this is actually my first time having Ochado and I was really curious on how different it might taste since it have a very similar concept with my favourite Chatime. Continue reading “[Malaysia: Pavilion KL] Ochado” →
