Penang was more of a sort of break for me because I had limited time to use internet. I spent most of my time.. eating, sleeping, eating and more eating. I literally became a glutton there. I like my holidays to be rushed and exciting but this time it’s really different haha.
if you have watched “Mary stayed out all night” before, you’d know where did Jang Guen Suk hang out at. Hongdae. it was pretty late when I reached there ( around 8 ) and I didn’t have much time left to explore the place. but I gotta say, it’s an artsy place. every cafe there is SPLENDID. actually, not only the cafe’s there, but pretty much ALL the cafe’s around Seoul. the cafe which looks normal is the abnormal one there. but the thing is, there are much more cafes here compared to anywhere else!
Hongdae is basically around the Hongik University area and hence, you’d find many students. furthermore, it’s near Sinchon and Ewha, where two of the most prestigious universities are located at. so this street caters the students nightlife and also where they would hang out for a drink.
as you can see, this crowded street is not only a cafe, clubs and restaurant street but there’s also a WHOLE LOT OF SHOPPING. Continue reading “[Seoul: Hongdae] Bauhaus Dog Cafe/Hotel” →
this was one of the things I had in my list before going to Korea, TO TRY THOSE MOVING RAW OCTOPUS. and on my last day in Korea, we went to a shop (it’s a 24hours shop!) with live octopus living on the tanks outside for breakfast!
at first, everybody will think it is GROSS. but, it is not disgusting. really. in fact, it tastes great! a very very good snack. a snack because it doesn’t fill you.

ever heard of Satay Celup? it’s basically lok-lok. but instead dipping it into boiling clear water, you dip them into boiling satay sauce!
the most famous Satay Celup Restaurant in Malacca, Capitol Satay Celup. EVERYBODY in Malacca knows about it. so to find it, just ask around =D. we reached the shop at approximately 6pm, and there was already a long queue. so we rushed over and look. this is one of the more famous restaurant, called the “Famosa Chicken Rice Ball Restaurant”. it is located at Jonker Street but the one I had was.. where my GPS took me. it’s at the shop lots. =D. pretty near to Tan Kim Hock’s branched out shop. =D.

it’s basically the ordinary chicken rice RICE, squeezed into a ball — looks special, doesn’t taste special. it just makes me eat more rice because the rice became so compact. equivalent to : fatter. Continue reading “[Malaysia: Malacca] Chicken Rice Ball” →
this would be my second time posting about it. hehe. about a month (yes it have been that long!) ago, my mom and I brought my grandma out to the malls. this would be the rarest situation because she doesn’t even like to go out! not only that, it is already rare to see me in malls with my mom. ahhaha. my mom said when you get older you’d find malls boring. hope not? =/.

just last Friday, Nigel dragged me down to Johor Bahru (because he said I have NO LIFE.), the border line of Singapore. (so tempted to visit Singapore T_T). The best thing was, he only took 3 hours to reach. =D! highway is the best. especially with NO JAM at all. I had fun looking at all those cheap chocolates at Zone. =D. I envy all JB people because they can get a supply of cheap chocolates pfft.
