[Kyoto] Kyoto Station Sky Walk

I actually have no idea what this walk is called but it is situated at the highest part of Kyoto Station and it is BEAUTIFUL. I am pretty sure it looks just as beautiful in the day but tad bit more romantic at night ^^.

such amazing steel and glass architecture =3. alongside with the shooting stars which I guess are only available around Christmas. the sky walk is from the ramen floor and the whole right side of the walk has ramen exhibitions showing the many many many kinds of amazing ramen. but my favourite is still ABURA SOBA!!! [Kyoto] Shijo, Gion & Kyoto Station

first day in Kyoto was amazing because I went to so many places in just a few hours. basically the famous few hang out places are pretty cramped up in the middle of Kyoto and they are either of walking distance or just a bus ride away.

above’s Shijo. there are like rows of shops and I can say.. it’s awesome. I loved it there. and at the end of the street there’s my favourite Sabazushi shop as well. there are loads of shopping and also.. OPA!!! though the name is weird but there are plenty of pretty shops in there!!! Continue reading “[Kyoto] Shijo, Gion & Kyoto Station”

Departing Korea

So it has been 2 years since I came to Korea and I have never left ever since. In fact, I’ve never traveled alone. as in, on a holiday. I always had a family member with me. but this time, I am alllllllllllll by myself. which is great. and scary at the same time.

got to the airport really early so I went to make some really adorable Korean traditional craft pouches. Continue reading “Departing Korea”

[Tokyo: Ueno] Ueno Park for Sakura

IMG_7801 copy

this place can be easily seen through google. just one click and millions of photographs of the beautiful fully bloom sakura view will be viewable. but it was pretty sad that when I was there, there wasn’t any. =(. I am not sure about this but I felt that sakura’s bloom at a different time sometimes. like the ones at DisneySea, they were fully bloom! even at such a cold weather. and even some in Kamakura. so I guess it really depends on the location? but as for Ueno, it comes early April. to be safe, travel a little before mid April since the sakura flowers will 0nly last for 2 weeks. [Tokyo: Ueno] Ameyoko Flea Market

every country has its own “Petaling Street” and eventhough it’s not the most glamourous looking street in a city, it’s always a very popular tourist spot. but instead of thinking that you’d have to travel all the way to Ueno just for one thing, you’re wrong.

it’s completely hitting 2 birds with 1 stone. for the first attraction in Ueno, I’ll be telling you about Ameyokocho. so wait up for the other post. it will probably surprise you much =D.

[Tokyo: Akihabara] my first step to the adult amusement park.

IMG_5731 copy

the most famous LABI Akihabara location! Labi have floors of electronic goods. you can find almost every electronic thing there. basically as long as you get out of the Akihabara station, you should be landing here. this post lack of pictures because all the pictures we secretly took on our compact camera got stolen. as in, the camera got stolen T_T. WUWUWUWUUWUWUWU. damn saddening. so many interesting things. =S. this is what you get for taking pictures of things you shouldn’t : KARMA. Continue reading “[Tokyo: Akihabara] my first step to the adult amusement park.”

[Shinagawa: Yokohama] Yokohama and the HUGE FERRIS WHEEL!

Yokohama was in between Tokyo and Kamakura and I JUST HAD TO STOP BY. what’s awful about winter is that it gets dark early so when I was at Yokohama at about 5pm it was already dark. something like our 7.30 here.

I just love how discipline all Japanese people are. they automatically form a line. Continue reading “[Shinagawa: Yokohama] Yokohama and the HUGE FERRIS WHEEL!”

[Tokyo: Asakusa] Asahi Beer Hall

one of the few famous things I’ve known before actually planning to travel to Tokyo was this. the Asahi Beer Building. or, in a cheeky way named the golden poop. (황금똥! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ. 유진의 아빠 세 엄마 하나 봤어요?)

it’s so famous because it’s the only picture my friend whom returned from Tokyo showed me when I was still in secondary school.

IMG_7611 copy

anyhow, these 3 buildings are a perfect combination. especially with the golden poop! =3.  the blue skies compliment the buildings so perfectly, this is a spot not to be missed if you were going to visit Asakusa Temple. because it’s just a few footsteps away. DON’T BE LAZY. Continue reading “[Tokyo: Asakusa] Asahi Beer Hall”

[Tokyo: Asakusa] The Famous Asakusa Temple

I went to Asakusa on the last day of my trip. Asakusa was the most touristy spot I’ve been so far in Tokyo, but it wasn’t disappointing at all. it’s worth the visit. very worth.

IMG_7141

just in case you were wondering, I stayed in Hotel Horidome Villa which is located near the Kanda JR Station. but you might wanna google map everything and DRAW your own map if you are keen on walking from Kanda Station because it’s about 1km+ far. but if you arrive/depart not on some odd hours, you can directly take a private line to Kodenmacho.
