Alien Card.

it’s true, we foreigners are known as aliens here.

the Alien Registration Card is probably the most troublesome thing you have to do being a student here. it is actually a card where you need to get to report to the government saying that you’ll be here for more than 90 days. if I am not mistaken, you still have to get it done even if you’re here for a term. but oh well, it’ll only take a day.

directions to Seoul Immigration Office : you’ll have to stop by at Omokgyo station 오목교역 and take exit 7. walk straight for about 10 -15minutes you’ll see a big junction with two roads but keep to your lane and turn right. and walk a little then your will see the Seoul Immigration Office on your left.

[Seoul: Hongdae] Toms Cat Cafe

honestly, I am not a big fan of cats. in fact, I am quite scared of them. especially the evil looking ones pfft. but since Jian (akiraceo a.k.a Miao) is very fond of cats I thought I would come here just blog to show him how the cat cafes here look like (there are more than 3 that I know of).

IMG_6587 copy

we wanted to find the Gio Cat Cafe but unfortunately we got lost and stumbled upon Tom Cat Cafe (which is located opposite ARTBOX Hongdae =)). there’s also a Garfield mascot in the middle of Sinchon Rotary (at the huge crossroad) that advertises for some Cat Cafe as well. The Korean Army.

just 2 days ago I went all the way up North (less than 100km away from North Korea) to visit one of my childhood Korean friend who’s in the army right now. the National Service here takes about 22months to complete and all I know is that it’s really a daunting task for even macho men. but only after you’ve completed the army, you’re a true man here.

they say that it makes all women and men fair by women having to give birth and men having to go to the army here. hahahaha.

The Authentic Japanese Restaurant, Sumi-Ka @ SS15

IMG_6172

located at the more quiet side of SS15, Subang Jaya, it’s actually pretty close to the colleges around. weird how it isn’t that known or noticeable arond. but to my surprise, you need to BOOK before you get there because it’s always filled. judging from how most of the shops around barely have 10% of their tables filled. 9 Berries is a hidden GEM.

I kind of did a breif review on 9 Berries Frozen Yoghurt Ice Cream but here’s the more comeplete one. because I think it’s completely under rated and I believe just ONE TRY, and you’ll be back there again. and trust me, the walk is 100% WORTHY.

IMG_6052 copy

this is KL City Walk’s entrance. just drop by Pavilion/KLCC and take that overhead bridge that connects both Pavilion and KLCC and it’s in the middle of it. =D. you’ll see it. Continue reading “9 Berries is a hidden GEM.”

Spiciest Taiwan Sausage : CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

it’s quite known that I can take spicy stuff and probably the only thing I would be proud of myself at.

so as usual I was bragging about my ability on eating spicy food when my friend raised a brow and said “YOU’LL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THAT TAIWAN SAUSAGE NEAR MY HOUSE”.

we made a bet that if I can finish everything without drinking any water (to make it more difficult, I cannot take even a sip of water for 10 minutes after completing it). he told me how bad it was and that usually a normal person would finish 2 glasses of water after two bites and that he literally cried the first time he had it. I was so looking forward to it and I decided to film my progress to see if I would cry, sweat, choke or anything since it’s so spicy.

looking for an exquisite restaurant this CNY? I recommend CWZJ.

growing up with CWZJ (or in other words, The House of Tea Kings), the one restaurant that has transformed from a shabbily built roadside restaurant to one of the finest Chinese cuisine in KL.

the owner had lived in China and often travel around to find inspiration on creating a unique yet traditional dish which brings out the true flavour of Chinese food.

today, known by a lot of elites, CWZJ offers food that always satisfies their customers.

[Malaysia: Klang] one of the BEST BAKUTEH in Klang!

I really have no idea which is the correct spelling.

bak kut teh?

bukuteh?

bahkuteh?

whatever it is, IT’S STILL DELICIOUS. for a Cheras girl like me, travelling all the way down Klang IS A HASSLE. so to you other people who seldom make it to Klang, let me introduce you (my uncle said it’s one of the best and judging by how crowded it is I guess he’s right!) one of the most delicious Bakuteh in Klang.
