[Tokyo: Tsukiji] Tsukiji Fish Market

well, not exactly INSIDE the market but it was those lanes of shops outside it. to my horror, it was closed on the day I went T_T. (LIKE WHY ON THAT DAY OUT OF ALLLL DAYS.) so do not repeat my mistake. DO NOT GO ON WEDNESDAYS. =(. I remember I checked before going and I thought it was closed on Tues. OH WELL. =(.

according to my friend living in Japan, he said that the famous tuna fish auction is limited everyday and you’ll have to get there at 5am in order to witness it. heck. 5am? what am I going to do after that? fish shopping? =S. but it’s alright because other than the inner market, you can stroll around the outer market even at 9am =D. I was actually very determined to try out Sushi Dai. BUT IT WASN’T OPEN TOO. =(. the other branch outside doesn’t open so early either. =/.

but even so, I actually had a better view of the stalls OUTSIDE the Tsukiji market area where I guess that probably most foreigners would rush into Tsukiji market and neglect the beauty of the stalls outside. this set of pictures would really be one of my favourite even though it wasn’t inside Tsukiji market. and surprisingly, there were actually many japs fish shopping there! =D.

[Tokyo: Shinjuku] A Night in Shinjuku

I was told that  Shinjuku is probably the most dangerous place in Tokyo. why? well, it has a lot of foreigners here, so you’d have to beware of pick pockets (but this is NOTHING compared to many other cities) and… well.. read on and you’ll know. haha.

Shinjuku’s road. the Shinjuku-Eki (station) is no doubt VERY HUGE, but never hesitate to ASK around to get to the place you want to =). Continue reading “[Tokyo: Shinjuku] A Night in Shinjuku”

[Tokyo] Shibuya & Ikebukuro

THIS, shall be a post dedicated to girls. and in between, two pictures dedicated to my male readers.

both Shibuya and Ikebukuro are very famous spots for shopping (and Harajuku too, but it’s like our err, Petaling Street?) and if you want to see pretty girls? you can find tonnes here.

they wear mini skirts and shorts on such a cold weather which reminds me of the chinese saying “oi leng ng oi meng” which literally means “want beauty don’t want life” haha.

[Tokyo: Meiji Jingu] Meiji Jingumae

Konbanwa! long time no see blog. I had been working U_U. but NOW when my coll started, I am more free. why? because there’s only twoooo classes per week! and hopefully the time table wouldn’t change, so both the subjects fall on the same day = one coll day per week! YIPEE!

it was so HOT when we arrived in Tokyo. it’s always like that, whenever we land we wear thick clothes and when we get out, it’s so hot we’re literally sweating in winter. SO, the next day, I wore my mom’s thin sweater. but then it rained and I was almost froze to death. thank goodness we brought extra clothes. Continue reading “[Tokyo: Meiji Jingu] Meiji Jingumae”

[Tokyo] Reaching Haneda Airport at Night.

Hi. I am really thankful that I am back from Japan. first, it was the earthquake, then, the nuclear plant leaks.

my friends who’s still in Japan, I really hope they could make it home safe as soon as possible. I was one step late in knowing about my coll’s student exchange program to Tokyo and I thought I was unlucky. but now, I think the otherwise. my friends who are now there for the program had to cut short the program and come back a week earlier. and even so, much fear have been gained from their trip. now, the nuclear leaks, I wonder if it’s even safe to be outdoors even for a while.

people of all races and beliefs, please pray for Japan. it was such a peaceful and beautiful country, especially when the sakura season is so near. the homeless must be cold. let’s pray for those who are stranded to be found, that Japan will regain their strength.

back from Tokyo!

oh gosh, I hadn’t been blogging for so long. but I am not dead. it is just that I have been working and preparing for my Tokyo trip. I was lucky enough to grab those really cheap tickets to Tokyo via AirAsia. I am always very thankful that there’s AirAsia because without it I don’t think I will ever dream of going to the most expensive city in the world. this is probably the longest flight I’ve been on. even though I tried sleeping on the plane, each time I doze off I knock myself on the wall and I’d wake up. causing myself to rest for two continuous days after I came back. and actually, I am still dog tired right now.

in this trip, I took a total of around 3k pictures. it was lesser compared to my Korea trip as it was raining throughout 50% of my trip. when it rains, taking pictures become very very tough.

for this post, I’d like to introduce you andriod or iphone users PUDDING CAMERA. just search for it on the market or google their website. it’s a korean application and is currently free for all! BANZAI TO THE CREATOR!

* all pictures in this post are taken through pudding camera with my htc desire hd.
