Nami Island in Autumn 남이섬의 가을

woke up at 6 in the morning, got out on 730 and reached Dong Seoul Bus Terminal (Gangbyeon Subway Station) at 8 something. but took off later at 9am and reached there at 10 something~. there’s another way to get there by subway directly to Gapyeong and take either a bus or a taxi from there. taking the bus is errrrrr. a little bit more expensive but more comfortable seats =D. at Gangbyeon Station, you still have to take a cab or another bus to Nami Island. it’s okay to walk as well actually. =D. it’s just that as first timers you might not know the way so…. taking the taxi would cost about 3,000-4,000won. depending on the traffic actually.

on the Namimaid ferry. basically the only way you can get to Nami Island other than literally “flying” there via flying fox. which costs a bomb. Continue reading “Nami Island in Autumn 남이섬의 가을”

Happy Pepero Day! 11.11~

on each 11th of November (11), IT’S PEPERO DAY!!! only because 11.11 looks like Pepero.

an ultimately successful marketing scam.

got this Pepero off the streets with an amulet stuck in front saying that I will get a partner this Pepero day (which did not come true). but I am lucky as I’ve gotten a few Pepero from my friends ^_^ at least I don’t feel so lonely =3. Continue reading “Happy Pepero Day! 11.11~”

why I fell in love with Autumn

and it isn’t a recent thing. I’ve been in love since I was 8. watching Autumn in my heart the first time on TV being amazed with the beauty of the autumn tree leaves. being here, it’s like a dream come true. I absolutely marveled around trees. to the extent that I’ve hugged them. okay I am weird I admit. but being able to live through Autumn is really amazing. so even if the air tickets costs for for Autumn, try making it for this season which lasts not more than a month. Autumn just started about 2 weeks ago. so it’s at its peak now. I took the whole day out to go shooting with a fellow Malaysian yesterday. he has an awesome super professional camera but here’s a little (okay maybe not so little) of what I was able to capture with my own camera.

we started our photoscape journey getting of the bus at Gyeongbokgung. and oh, those are ginko trees. they have the worst smelling fruit. it’s exactly like how I’d imagine a dead Raffleasia to smell like. Continue reading “why I fell in love with Autumn”

Akaraka 2012

super 5 months late post. because I just retrieved the pictures from Leo. most of the pictures below were taken by Leo ^^.

DSC_8844 copy

after class I went to meet up with Leo. it was the 2nd day of Akaraka (of 3 days) and on the first day you can see students sitting on both sides of the road with little box tables on nice cozy mats (even on grass) with bottles of alcohol (soju, beer..) and chicken. but I guess I love the 2nd day the most. because they have FREE GIFTS!! the one above is a Loacker booth. basically just wait in the line and you’d get a free bar of Loacker. which I absolutely love but its absolutely expensive U_U. [Busan] Taejongdae!

if you ask me which is a place you should not miss in Busan, I would 100% recommend Taejongdae (unless it rains for your whole trip then sucks to be you. =P.)

IMG_4484 copy

to come here, you must.. take the bus. it isn’t that hard. you can take a bus straight from Busan Station. I forgot the number of the bus but it is written at the Bus Station just remember to have your T-Money filled before you get to Busan (because T-Money is usable there, just a little harder to find place to recharge it.) Busan have their own railway so they have their own T-Money alike thingy there too. if you buy that on the spot there then yes you may recharge your pass whenever you want. [Busan] Jagalchi Market

finally, my post for this famous market in Busan. it’s open air, very neat and there are a lot of restaurants. lesser foreigners than expected but a lot of old people pushing everyone around while dragging their trolleys around.

IMG_4338 copy

this is right behind the Market, the Busan view from here was magnificent. I love how the houses are so close to each other all over the mountain. =3. Continue reading “[Busan] Jagalchi Market”

[Jeonju] of Jeonju and yogurutu

I am a little crazy, you can say. because I went back to Jeonju in a month. well, I took full advantage of my privilege as a foreigner because it’s only until end of this year foreigners can travel here for free =S. the last time I came here, I had awesome Galbitang but this time I came here for it’s famous Jeonju Bibimbap. the next time? Ddeok Galbi FOR SURE.

but there’s something more. the yoghurt (they call it the yogurutu). I don’t know how can I put this, but it’s the best yoghurt I’ve ever had. a huge bottle for 4,000won. it was pretty expensive to me at first but after I tried it, I can assure you that it’s a steal!

I am preeeeeeeeetty busy these days, with my presentation and all, but I’m done with it now, so wait up for more of my Jeonju and Busan posts!

[Busan] Songdo 부산 성도해수욕장

when you ask anybody who had been to Busan (and they will say they loved it) about where to go, the first few places they will recommend are Haeundae or Gwangalli (which I love tooooo.) but they always neglect the smaller, least popular beach. but of course, because it is least popular, that’s why you should come here. and it is Songdo.

Songdo’s Beach is listed as one of the tourist spots but because you can only reach this place by a bus or taxi, many foreigners chose to avoid the trouble and just go to the huge popular beaches.

IMG_4994 copy

my first glimpse of Songdo. it was a very sunny day. got much tanner because it was so awesome here I was under the sun for an hour without sunblock. and there are whales and other sculptures put right in the middle of the sea which makes it cooler! Continue reading “[Busan] Songdo 부산 성도해수욕장”
