one of the highlights of my trip to Taiwan was this — AAD. or in other words, Addiction Aquatic Development because it is a pretty version of Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo (and as clean) despite the much smaller scale. So, what is AAD? a fish market? a supermarket? or restaurants..? well.. why not all?!
[Taipei: Dazhi] Indoor Picnic at Yellow Lemon
just a stones throw away from the hotel we were staying at– the Grand Mayfull Hotel, was this famous fine dining restaurant/desserant called Yellow Lemon. I was truly intrigued by their picnic styled high-tea set which I first saw on instagram and since it was so near to our hotel, we decided to give it a try.

[Taipei: Dazhi] Palette, probably one of the best buffet in Taipei.
so in this post, I will talk about Palette’s well known buffet breakfast and dinner although they serve even during lunch and tea time. the Grand Mayfull Hotel is a 5 star hotel that is completely Taiwanese owned and it just opened its doors 1 year ago. Although they are not so well known yet, their buffets are already experiencing long queues and especially their dinner, you should only go after making reservations.

[Taiwan: Taipei] Ambience Hotel REVIEW
my second hotel in Taipei was a quaint 3 star designer hotel located at the heart of Taipei City. I was originally captivated by the bathroom which has a beautiful view. but Ambience Hotel is also Taipei’s top rated hotel on TripAdvisor! most people praised the hotel for its simple yet stylish designs and their 5 star customer service, which I cannot deny.
[Taipei: Da’an] MUME (Asia’s TOP 50 Restaurants)

I read online and MUME was often deemed to be better than RAW at most occasions. however, I cannot be certain until I try RAW for myself. MUME was actually recommended by my boyfriends boss who’s friends with the HK chef here. the chefs of this place have an impressive portfolio as they worked in famous restaurants like Eleven Madison Park (US), Quay (Aus) and even Noma (Denmark), which was four times world’s best restaurant!

[Taiwan: Taipei] Grand Mayfull Hotel REVIEW
if you follow me on instagram, you’d know that I recently went to Taipei for a short getaway. the thing I was looking forward to the most was spending time with my boyfriend whom I’m in a long distance relationship with. and I think choosing a comfortable place where we can spend quality time together is crucial. coincidentally, I was invited by Grand Mayfull Hotel to review their hotel and it got me all excited! I went through their website and I was IMPRESSED. however, you’d never know how great it is until you’ve experience it first hand. hence here’s my review! (I am an honest person plus I wasn’t paid so you may rely on my comments!)
note that because I was brought on a hotel tour, this post is very complete and long. if you are considering on which hotels to stay and wants to have a look at the different rooms and amenities, or just simply love hotels, you’re at the right place!
