well that’s kind of the direct translation of  “pal saek samgyupsal”, 8 color pork belly meat. haha. it’s very easy to find. just get to Sinchon and take exit 6, walk towards Sogang University but instead of walking on the left side of the road walk on the right side. and you’ll definitely see it.

it’s a chain so you might come across the one in Daehakno and the other one near Sinchon U-plex as well.

Clubbing in Seoul

when you wanna go clubbing in Seoul, head to Hongdae they say. it’ll be fun. I am 20 this year. and I still think Hongdae is a little too young for me. but I am known for having an old soul. it’s unless you go with a group of friends, or else you can mingle with the young crowd. they wear.. sneakers, pants, flat shoes TO THE CLUB. mm hmm. no joke. it’s rare to find hot guys too. girl’s are decent though. Oppa Sinchon Style!

thought it’s nice to share this video with you guys. I laughed throughout the whole vid. because these places are all very familiar places to me, it’s all shot in Sinchon and inside the Yonsei Campus lol. the bar included inside is Bar Fly. awkward moment when I noticed that they actually filmed so parts in the Library where I won’t even dare talk louder haha. but of course part of the INSIDE the study room shots were shot at the not so popular study rooms, the more popular study rooms are.. always filled and if you whisper to your friend even you’d get scolded haha.

좋은 호떡 아저씨

the title means the kind “Hoddeok” guy.

공기 호떡 (gong-gi hoddeok, which means empty hoddeok) is more like a traditional type of Korean bread. his van is placed right at the entrance of Yonsei’s main gate. it’s quite impossible to not see it. I’ve passed by it for months now and finally decided to give it a try. but being the girl who always run out of change, I handed him a 10,000won note for a 800won hoddeok. and he was out of change.

but you know what?

he told me to just take it. U________U. *touched*. such nice people still exist! and to my surprise, even though his hoddeok is empty, but it’s SUPER DUPER delicious. I now regret why did I not give it a try from the start. I’ve heard a lot of hoddeoks taste bad but his is so good. it’s crispy and the inside’s fragrantly sweet. can’t describe much. must try it yourself. please buy more! it’s yummy. 3 for 2,000won!

[Seoul] Gopchang, Makchang, whatever chang!

one thing I love about living in Sinchon is the crowd. on Fridays and Saturdays the street filled with HOF’s and eateries will be filled. but one of the most popular things to do here are eating food THAT GOES WELL WITH ALCOHOL!

[Seoul: Hongdae] Luxury Su

was never too much of a fan of Karaoke’s. until I met Noraebang. Noraebang means “song room” in direct translation. you got it right, Norae means song and Bang means room! there are a lot of “rooms” here. like PCbang, Multibang (where you play nintendo wii to watching your favourite movies. heard they sanitize the “seats” there because underage kids go to a multibang as they can’t get a “room”. hahah. so if a guy wants to bring you to a multibang ONE ON ONE, think twice.), Jjimjilbang… and any other bangs these Koreans can think of. this Sujebi (similar to Panmee in Malaysia) place which is super huge. and famous. finally decided to give it a try. was actually at Jogyesa temple which was near Insadong which was also near Samcheongdong wth. so.. shall tell you a little about this place in case you drop by Samcheongdong and wonder what’s good. BoA’s Only One filming location @ aA The Design Museum, Hongdae

aA The Design Museum @ Hongdae. I can’t really recommend you where to go because MOST of the Cafe’s in Hongdae are pretty and are priced at the same range and have yummy drinks all in all. but it’s right at the end of the Hongdae Road near that SangSangMadang area crossing the famous Ddeokbokki shop and turn left then right.

this place is HUGE. like HUGE. very spacious. there are 2 types of cafes. one are the huge ones like this one. another type are the small cozy little ones which I can assure you that they’re real good places to hang out at as well.
