My First Times!

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

you need to calm down about the title.it is not like what you think *cough cough*. the last few daysof 2008 is actually treating me not bad to be honest, because I kinda feel really happy. I went to Hong Kong, the place I which I want to have my everyday meal at. and China, where the people there treats you really well, partly because you’re a foreigner. then, I can see my dad <3. and as soon as I came back, my aunt bought my ASAM LAKSA! my aunt really knows me, I just love her. then, the next day I saw my brother from another mother and father and we went jogging.

I just regret it that I can’t cycle. other than regret, I think I feel SAD about it. =(. I think I’ll include learning how to ride a bicycle on my new years resolution list!and yeah, that’s Victor, my brother! and I promise I will love him even if I havce a boyfriend/get married in the future =D. and I kinda hope we look alike because I wan his skin tone. =X.

and this is the girl who did lots of first time together. we bought the same dress in the same colour. we bought a guy underwear together just for fun, where I bump into an old friend who is working there and I almost died out of shock. because I thought who cares if I buy a guy thing when I don’t know them (them as in the cashiers). and FYI, it’s somebody’s birthday present so er, wait and see. =D.

we did loads of crazy things! we practically laughed the whole way. and it was so ambarassing. thinking if I should tell but I guess I should. she put on a very very nice christmas ball on my ears and took a picture of it, and then, when I am trying to take it off it slip out of my fingers and it fell down. and it is RM16. and then that guard showed us, 50% off. and we went “OH!!!!!!!!!!!” and she said I was lucky that I didn’t break an expensive thing, and later she treated me a cup of ice cream which is practically more expensive than that ball =X. and we took pictures kneeling down on the floor wth in the middle of the walkway. which was her idea hahahaha. more pictures to come!

and this good friend of mine is going away so-very-soon. Karena will be going in a week and I will miss her. T_T.

and it is because without her parties are boring.

and without her I think I will have less camwhoring pictures.

and without her shopping will not be not as fun.

and I love Cheow Wei Wei because she is the first person in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD (excluding people related to me) to give me a CHRISTMAS PRESENT! and it is..

wrapped. with strings so I can kinda take it like a bag. very smart right! another reason she’s so lovable <3.

and that’s what in that cute carrier bag of hers. =P.

we had korean food for dinner yesterday, see! 2008 is treating me really not bad! (excluding the days where I studied for my exam and I don’t get to sleep).

I am off to Times Square now, Alex is coming! BYE!

preview of next post :

is this a pizza? >_>”. how do you think it’ll taste?

and Happy Birthday CARMEN! 11 years of friendship means a lot to a 16 year old =P.

and look what I got from Mongolia. thanks William! <3. I think the mat and the box thingy is made out of erm, camel hair @@. so cool right. by the way, look at the queen =P. it looks like those lions outside the china banks.

TOODLES 2008!

I’m B A C K !

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

I am seriously tooo tired to do anything right now. came back around 3. slept at 6. woke up at 2. stupid airplane delay, but at least I am safe. Air Asia is too cheap to complain, what to do? and let me tell you, the best food inside is 1901 hotdogs, others are basically tasteless. ALL HAIL 1901!! their pasta suck most. ><”. just came back from Guang Zhou this morning after my 3 day trip. it is kinda okay, not as dusty as I thought it’d be. and I so love their wholesale market. wait for a bit okay, I need to sort all my stuff, then my pictures. *coughs* and I am quite lazy. havent been back for almost 2 months and I kinda miss home other than I am so adapted to China life and I don’t know how home is doing. I heard it rains everyday. haven’t been seeing rain for quite some time since during winter it don’t really rain. I think, it doesn’t rain at all. and finally back to where everybody speaks english! but I miss my daddy T_T. and the food. already.

okay, I need to do my chores, how dusty do you think an abandoned house for 2 months will be? yesterday when I first open the tap water, it’s brown in colour wth. ew.

OH CHINA!

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

you just got to love it <3.

if you are wondering why do I ALWAYS go to China, especially on year ends, the answer will be, because I LIVE here. =D. I’ve got two homes, and I love it here more than Malaysia other than I don’t have friends over here =(.

firstly, everything is much cheaper, lower cost of living.
second, you can go anywhere you like, shop hopping! because taxi’s are very very VERY cheap.
third, sale? is EVERYWHERE!
forth, there’s winter
fifth, means you can wear like a peacock and nobody’s gonna look =D.

I just hate it that people here spit a little too excessively. and beggars are everywhere.

everything will be a little messy, but hope you’ll gain something =).

xiamen, zhong shan lu

Jung Shan Lu! and no, I am NOT in Shanghai. I am in Xia Men. there are Jung Shan Lu’s all over China, and usually it’s a street for shopaholics. =D. there’s a Nan Jing Siang (means street. Lu means road.) where it’s the mini shopaholic heaven. a little more tan than before. although it’s totally dark by 6, but the heater lights in the bathroom makes you as dark as you can be. =(.

an xi

what does it look like?

bus station!

canteen!

nothing pretty.

an xi, international tea wholesale market

but it’s international. THIS, is the international tea wholesale market. also the largest. tea outside sold for 500 RMB can be got for a much much much more lower price. I don’t know how much, but maybe 100? wondering how good the 5000 RMB tea taste like? you can try it here. there are testingsss. =DD.

in an xi

proof that I’m here!

so, more temples aight?

ching shui yuan, an xi

wondering where the CHIN SWEE Temple of Genting Highlands originated from? the honoured Tan Sri Dato Seri Lim Goh Thong (very long title. @@. ) came from this place. and it is said that when he was young, before he got to Malaysia, he prayed for his business thingy here. this one in An Xi, is called Ching Sui (wondering how it became Chin Swee) Yuan. where people lights up firecraker to bring luck. (now you know where those smoke came from). which simply lighting up firecracker is illegal in Malaysia. conclusion, the Chin Swee Temple in Genting is a clone of this Ching Shui Yuan Temple. =D.

the very attractive brick walls outside the temple.

an xi

and steps on the way to the temple.

ching shui yuan, an xi

and my favourite, the wood carvings coated in gold directly under the roof of the temple. taken from the second floor =D. China is just very detailed. and details rock. <3. this carving is actually quite small, and I don’t know how is it there for so many years. it’s just too perfect.

dragon well, fujian

and a dragon well in ANOTHER temple. this one’s on the Fairy Mountain =D.

fujian

I don’t really remember where I took this picture from, but certainly in Fujian. Anthena’s like this reminds me of Japan for some weird reason. =P. too much anime *shakes head*. and drama *shakes more*.

STERILE!

WHO says that China isn’t clean. it really depends on where you go to, but in most places, their table wear are usually packed in this sterile package. VERY clean ok?!

vendor in nanjing xiang

coconut shell vendor in Quan Zhou’s Nan Jing Xiang. ain’t it cute? =P.

and who knows, Jamie never been to the Kampung in Malaysia, but she’s been to the Kampung in China. MANY MANY TIMES! they are not really far away from the city, maybe just 20 minute’s from the city, and old villages you will see =D.

yong chon, fujian

so this time, I am back into Yong Chon for mandarin oranges, the third time here. haha.

people in yong chon

there, long hair and braids are still very “in” for the old folks. and in the villages, you won’t find people aged like.. me or my sister. even my father or mother. people living here are usually just babies and grandparents.

I just wonder what are these for..

yong chon oranges, fujian

ever eaten mandarin oranges freshly plucked from the tree? =D. it took me long enough to get up this little hill just to pick these oranges. and they are really cold! and sweet. I will never make it up there alone. even with sport shoes. it’s just too steep! and yeah, for your information, oranges that are delivered to Malaysia are usually dipped in some sort of very stinky chemical so it will last. so NEVER use it’s skin for any dessert. =/.

my favourite dish in China so far. it’s fish head topped by FRESH GREEN CHILLI’S! and cooked with loads of oil. (very fattening it seems, but it is worth every second.) the soup with rice? phenomenal.

and did I mention? not only that food are cheap and delicious here, their restaurant’s interior are usually superior and unique. =P. REALLY DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU GO. >=D.

nanjing lu, xiamen

so back to Xia Men. this is the end of Jung Shan Lu. and just a normal piece in Laiya is hundreds of RMB and a jacket? thousands. but they do have SALE. up to 80% off. shopping for summer in winter is the smartest choice. =D.

puppy in xiamen

only RMB 2oo anyone? SO CUTEEEEE. these dogs can be found stray everywhere. how can that be when it is so cute righttttttt…….. T_T.

my new stick silky straight hair, and the so called grey contact lens, made in china. =P.

something from yesterday. don’t laugh. ><”.

Halloween Party @ Borneo Baruk Club

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

by Nuffnang. and Nokia <3.

I betrayed Nokia. because my (half. don’t ask me why) new phone is an Anycall. =/.

the halloween party is quite of a blast you can say, other that I didn’t like the concept of the silent dance thingy, because when you look at other people dancing with no music/different music, you feel really weird. and the songs weren’t my type of thing either. and it’s rather interesting to see how can somebody transform into a scary monster!

and this is how Jamie Liew went as a “undead japanese girl”. although I really wanted to be an undead korean girl =(. couldn’t find the korean costume! but this one is not bad ain’t it? other than the make up isn’t good enough, I’ve put LAYERS of powder but look like it didn’t work. sigh..

ps : I didn’t use this dramatic eyelash in the end because half of my vision were blocked. and it is really quite uncomfortable! my first attempt for fake eyelashs =D.

I DREW THAT! with just eyeliner ehheee. did something like that for the bulletin boards of my classroom =D. love abstracts <3.

want to see some monsters?

lets start with the ones that aren’t scary. =D.

Issac the priest that is not so dracula. =P.

then there is this guy whom I don’t know in this gorgeous costume, based on Chris, the costume is from one of Backstreet Boy’s MTV. o.0.

jeez. he have longer hair. no fair!

Alex as a mad scientist! =D. in last minute, he told me he didn’t have a costume. as in, not prepared AT ALL. so this made-of-anything-you-have costume just popped into my mind! just look for your high school lab coat and viola! and another brilliant mind like mine thought of that too =P. (will show you later).

can you believe he wore his dad’s 600++ degrees glasses?

Karena as a.. ahm.. er.. a…… seductive-dead-devilish-toy fairy! see! already seducing a mad scientist! =P.

I consider myself not scary =D. like the fan I made? *giving a proud face*.

and my beautiful fan is useful enough during the heaty times, and as a decoration, and it has attracted countless people to pose with it =P.

Chriso Tocko the undead Phantom, posing with my pretty fan which in his opinion, he’s promoting my blog. =X.

and the seductive-dead-devilish-toy fairy posed with my fan too! =D.

I guess this is all, not really countless *coughs*.

I LOVE THIS COSTUME. a milk mascot with his face printed on the side. it is just so funny although not scary. contains melamine. really cute =P.

here’s Nick. met him for the second time (knew each other by wearing the same patrick shoes at the last pajama party =D.) and I don’t know what is he. a monster that slaughter babies I guess? o.0.

Mr Shaolin Tiger as the.. white undead shaolin guy.

very jealous of his height pfft. 176 is already enoughhhhhhhh. =/.

I just love this picture. the not-so-Marilyn Monroe and Alex both look so happy! this is how a party should really be =P.

another undead Japanese girl! Iris. =D. she should really get some prize or something, she MADE her kimono herself! and somehow I think it looks really nice. and (again) somehow after the party she found out that our sister’s know each other. and somehow I think I might be her schoolmate when I am really young too! hahahhaa. KL is tiny.

this party is indeed filled up with chiqs. so here’s more =D.

Zoe as the not-so-skinny corpse bride! her skin is SOoOooOoo PORCELAIN.. I bet every person who saw her that night thinks so. only 15! I can’t believe I am finally not the youngest anymore! T____T!

Min Li
! as.. a.. Mexican? =D. I like her hairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. couldn’t recognize her at the party until I saw her name tag, hair DOES make difference.

ps : Min Li if you’re seeing this, look what is different about the picture =P.

and Ayumi Hamasaki! very very alike, and very very pretty. I bet many girls rather be a little bit more petite to have a pretty face =D. and she’s really nice too! I mean really really. =3.

see?

drooling already guys? Ginny, one of the prettiest girls that I know, also one of the nuffies. what is nuffies? nuffies are hired to look pretty and walk around in parties. so the guys will drool =D. where are the MALE nuffies?! no fair!

but it is okay because, there are hot guy bloggers too hehee. =P.

Leo as the death god. the way he wore, and made that sand timing thingy in a really creative way and also the clock that is hanging on his shirt (which don’t show here) is all very matching! he should really be a fashion designer or something hahaa. would be even perfect if he removed the mask. why hide a pretty face? =D.

and a handsome joker. he don’t look ugly even with the make up! it is the hair maybe? o.0.

*wondering if he is cute without the make up* =P =P =P

then, there are the tongues. TONGUES!

Robb don’t be jealous =P.

so ready for the scary ones?

NOTICE :

JAMIE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR NIGHTMARES thank you.

a

?

ROARRRR, Robb as a very scary mummy. I was scared for at least 10 seconds. and I couldn’t recognize him for 20 seconds. that make up really make this good looking guy… hideous. applause to the make up artist!

I didn’t know who he was before I saw that tag. REALLY! I can’t believe I read his blog for so long and I couldn’t recognize him hahahaha.

Jolene, as Joker Nurse. she totally freaked me out when I saw her, but she’s really nice xD. met her at the party for the first time.  me and Alex were arguing about her gender at first when we saw her from afar (not clear!) because of her wig too, but as she came closer we see that she’s a girl =D. and of course, my guess is correct!

very obvious about what he is. pontianakkk. I think that’s real hair! but mine’s longer =X. in the dark, he really scared the chicken out of somebody!

and the one that scares the chicken out of everybody every time!

he

is

really

really

REALLY

GROSS. Klubb Kidd *from the tag* as the deceased Kurt Kobain. that contact lens is super duper scary OKAYY. and that gooey skin and very real gun shot wounds just freaks me out! every time I walk pass him, I just…… feel cold.

so want to see something more scary?????

but at least you’ll have a smile on your face if you see IT in your nightmares.

and here’s……

PARIS PARUI HILTON! whose his her it’s boobs getting gripped by a crow lady =O.

and this slutty guy girl won the best dressed prize in FEMALE category!

Paris loves hot guys, but Parui? it loves SMART GUYS!

end of the nightmares =D.

lets move on to the PARRRTAYYYY

I think that you should really see this and have a goood laugh. ^^.

so this is Kenny’s curly hair.

so where did that curly hair go? =O.

and imagine, he’s dancing and the curly hair is bouncing. hhahahahhahahahahhaa.

opps! secret revealed! look how IN LOVE Chris and Yee Hou are =P. very madly deeply in love~

just… joking. =D. both single, and out for grabs girls!

a finally, a group picture. I ONLY have these 2 group pictures in my camera! gotta get the others from the others =D.

either Karena or Yee Hou and his friend. so I’ve decided to post both. so no complains!

and then, Yee Hou tried to poison me because I didn’t delete that picture of him not smiling. =P.

but too bad, I still kind of prefer my own flash heeeeeeeee. ^^.

result : not poisoned. no antidote(speed light) needed! at the moment =/.

and after the party, more camwhoring!

Celine! I actually met her in my own house! haha. my sis’s best friend’s good friend. =P.  her costume is amazingggg. but I didn’t get to approach her when she was still in her costume sigh…

but at least I am stealing it from Jeffro =D! scary right?!

Jeffro. I have to say that everytime I post his picture I guess. HIS EYES ARE SO PRETTY! his costume is really nice too and I didn’t take a picture of his costume with my camera in time too! because he hurt his leg while dancing. poor Jeffrey =(.

and I steal it from him, again. =D. he won the best dressed in the male category!

we camwhores just camwhore EVERYTHING!

Karena in my japanese slipper and me in her high heels. super sampats =P. well, she love flats and I love heels! we just went to the party with our feet not satisfied =D.

how will you react seeing them on the streets crossing the road? hahahahahahahhahaha. they did it several times, and in groups later, really fun =P.

when you can’t drive, you need friends who can drive to save you =D. ALEX I PROMISE I WILL DRIVE YOU NEXT TIME WHEN I GROW UP! =3.

so this is my first Halloween celebration, looking forward to more! *SCREW SPM!*

ps : I slept the whole day and I sound like I cried or something. sigh, flu. sigh, weather change. sigh, no mandarin oranges!

ever heard of the Golden Bauhinia?

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

missed me? just be nice and say you do >_>”. that is because I left Malaysia for more than a MONTH. I went to see the Tulou far in YongDing for the past few days, yeah I know you don’t know where that is or what I went to see, google “earth buildings” it’s under the world heritage bla bla bla =D. finally finishing my 5 day Hong Kong trip blog post when I am already in China for more than 20 days. I straightened my hair today, and I look a little more.. flat. but I only had pictures of yesterday. so.. a little update about myself.

I am getting fatter, (I lose weight VERY slowly T_T) and thus my eyes are smaller. my hair is more seaweed(as somebody say so) than they are *until a few hours ago*. and I had to stick medicine up my nose, drink some liquid medicine and have pill medicine because I want to cure my long term flu. end of myself.

ps : I need want need braces.

pss : having a mole near your lips means you got the luck for food ^^v.

let’s move on to Hong Kong! =D. I want to go back there T_T. and I don’t know why, but it feels like MANY of my friends are going/went to Hong Kong this year. perticularly THIS YEAR. just seems like EVERYONE has been there! and of course, it is because.. Hong Kong is GREAT!

no comment.

yau ma tei

bye bye my frizzy natural waves~ =P. you’ll see me in stick treated natural straight hair VERY soon. and I got to say, living in Yau Ma Tei is a good choice! no regrets living there heeeeeee. =D. but then, City View’s PREMIER room is sort of Genting Highland’s standard room =/. nothings more expensive than land in Hong Kong.

egg tart

nobody can miss egg tarts. IF you miss eating egg tarts, you’ll regret it when you know how tasty it is. even if you think egg tarts stink, this one is a must try, it is really really really good. Yau Ma Tei egg tart<3. I know my finger is looking weird, I don’t know how I did it and I don’t think I’d want to do it again, it looks.. awful.

curry fishball

and so, I had CURRY FISHBALLS AGAIN!  need me to explain how delicious it is? and ALWAYS get the spicy one, because the not spicy one… is not spicy at all!

desserts

not only their chinese food rocks, their deserts rocks too! especially their mango pudding <3. everything’s just so perfect in Hong Kong =3. <3 <3. I always have that tiny little dream about living in Hong Kong although every single member of my family agrees that living in Hong Kong (I mean longterm) is a crazy option as the competition is too big. and people there are too fast (like they don’t sit down and talk after dinner or walk slowly at the roads). and they have to share a table while eating and gets pressured to eat faster. and the tiny little shops that is full with people (which honestly, I love it). and to be honest, the thing I really like is that you can drool as you walk, there’s a super cute guy at the information counter as soon as you take your luggage and another carrying your luggage into the rooms, do I have to explain more about what you can see on the streets?? (yeah, same goes for girls alright. haha.)

hk's efficiency

THIS is the level of efficiency in Hong Kong. being in a wheelchair doesn’t mean you can’t take the MTR. they support the disabled. and other than the community of hongkies that are really materialistic, most of them and nice and down-to-earth =D.and of course if you are asking for directions, pick the friendly faces.

funny sign

I just find this funny =P. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAA. such a funny rule. I didn’t dare to take a picture of the people there, it is because, they were all LYING on the benches =D.

smoking area

goodness I love Hong Kong. SO MUCH. you’ll not smell smoke everywhere! because the smoking areas are tad so tiny. and they print the eeky scary pictures on the cigg packs. it is just so wonderful to be in a place where your hair won’t smell after walking for a few hours. <3. and that you’ll be healthier not absorbing those stupid 2nd hand smoke. I HATE CIGGS! say NO to SMOKING!

every fountain brings luck =).

it is, FENG SHUIII.

so finally to the topic, GOLDEN BAUHINIA. this my third time there, and it was my first time seeing this huge gold flower. (my mother said it looks like a cup more than a flower, and when she called it the gold CUP ever since.)

golden bauhinia

nothing special, really. coming here once is enough, and not coming here if you’ve been to Hong Kong for a few times is weird. so you JUST gotta take some time off and come to this place, it’s quite nice.. many people taking pictures.. and a great view. once is really enough =D.

and it is really REALLY chilly, I think I sat there for more than half an hour just enjoying the fresh air smelling the salty sea in front. I actually love this spot. it is just at the right side of the convention centre. and I’ve seen some drama’s that was actually filmed here! (I watched that drama AFTER this trip.)

just gotta do something funny when nobody’s looking =D.

dead fishes

do you have any idea how these little fishes managed to get on top? I guess they can’t possibly JUMP that high right. but when I see so many people fishing, I guess somebody just abandoned their luring item here.

I have no idea what this is, but it is so tall and I just got to take a picture with it. should be some kind of memorial thingy =D. seriously it is really frustrating that I don’t read chinese. I mean, although it wasn’t really my fault, or anyone’s, but I REALLY hope that I can read chinese. at least I know what stuffs are.

golden bauhinia

and.. a proper picture. with that gold cup/flower. there was actually a better shot (as in lightings) with my camera but my smile made me look extra chubby and I DO NOT like it. and there are many of those camera man asking “do you want a professional shot? just for 10/20HKD!” and of course, I said no, and after a few no’s, he was kind and helped me take some pictures with my camera, and his. (noticing that my mom doesn’t know how to professionally catch a good view). and printed the picture for me, for FREE! =P. and now it lays in my dad’s office <3.

the best snack. ever. can be bought at the shopping place in Mong Kok =D. it’s really quite popular. and it is super nice. you can pick the type of noodle you want, and add the toppings you like! very very recommended. =3.

wan chai

I freaking miss Hong Kong.

funny notice

on xiamen airlines. read the first word of each sentence. I ALMOST laughed like a hyena when I saw it. I am an ALIEN to them. =P.

xia men, outside hua qiao university

and finally CHINAAAAAAAA! <3 home sweet home <3. and that’s right outside my sister’s university, nice isn’t it? she’ll kill me when she sees a picture of her taken when she said “I don’t want to take pictures” and finally gets forced to take it. but I think she looks nice =X.
