the great thing about studying in Yonsei is their graduation vacation. (even though I heard that other schools like Kyunghee provide FREE vacation every level). although the location is always the same; Seorak Mountain, but this mountain is known to be beautiful at all 4 seasons. and a little update for the friend’s I made in Korea ^^.

my all-girls class picture! well there’s only 3 guys in my class and 2 didn’t attend. =S. but I love my girls =3. all nice people.

IMG_0629 copy2

trying to look stupid haha.

IMG_0639 copy2

I couldn’t jump with them because I slipped down the stairs right before the trip and hurt my back T____T. I didn’t exactly enjoy the trip because I was in pain. =(.

IMG_0695 copy2

we are very lesbo. but believe us all we talk about are guys =X. I mean, superstars lah. we both love Chansung from 2PM =3. =3 << that’s how Chansung look like actually hahahaha.

IMG_0696 copy

Seorak Mountain is located near the eastern sea of Korea. and the sea here is said to be the best. something geographical. something about the sea being cleaner and all. the sea waves in winter were strong. very very strong.

IMG_0532 copy

Han-u Bulgogi. Han-oo. han-u means beef bred in Korea. it’s something like Japan’s Kobe. ridiculously expensive I heard. I don’t buy myself beef since it’s expensive usually =S. so yeah, I’m not sure. haha. but the bulgogi is the cheapest of all han-u’s.

IMG_0721 copy

made sausages!!! with awesome mustard (biji-biji punya!) and ketchup yummmm. never loved sausages so much until I came to Korea. there is something about Korean people and their love for sausages and spams.

IMG_0725 copy

as “free” as it is, we actually have to prepare our own dinner. means using our own $$$. we clearly over did it. we spent almost 15,000won each person for all these ingredients. there were 9 of us. imagine. that’s around 400ringgit. seriously.

IMG_0726 copy2

Masayo (Miss Kyopo Korea!!!), Karlan, Me, Megumi!

IMG_0736 copy1

with our class teacher (we call her 007 teacher but her name’s 이은경 Lee Eun Gyeong) and our reading teacher (김보경 Kim Bo Gyeong).

IMG_0779 copy

I can’t believe we have been friends for a year now and that we’ll be apart in.. 2 weeks T___________T. I loveee Megumi as a whole and I really hope I could spend my years in Korea with her but she had to go back for Uni in Japan =((.

IMG_0813 copy2

the view was so surreal. only bad thing visiting Seorak in Winter is that even with wearing very super thick clothes that would turn you into a gigantic fat bear, you’d still shiver. because it’s THAT cold.

IMG_0841 copy2

wanted to make a snow angel but failed as the snow on the ground hardened =(.

IMG_0856 copy

more views of Seorak Mountain.

IMG_0898 copy1

we walked up to the entrance to some temple and we couldn’t take it anymore so we walked back =S. I blame the weather. will definitely go back again next time!!!

IMG_0901 copy

the adorable Megumi with that enormous snowman. believe me, making a snowman that size isn’t easy.

IMG_0922 copy2

my favourite candid picture. =3. Karlan, Megumi, Mari, Jin-woo.

IMG_0924 copy

“the road less taken”. teehee.

IMG_06229 copy

last picture before we left =3.

IMG_0946 copy

we then went to a hotel for buffet at Ashleys (famous buffet chain in Korea. reasonable for lunch @(#&@($(@ expensive for dinner. for the SAME THING.)

IMG_0956 copy

so here’s what they served. it was really good. better than that Ashleys (supposed to be most posh) in Sinchon.

IMG_0957 copy

yum that rice tasted like Nasi Gorend. that pastry sucked though. nice noodles they have =3.

IMG_0961 copy

everyone loves desserts!

IMG_0978 copy

I’ve always wondered how the beaches are when it snows. I bet you’ve wondered the same. here’s how they look like ;).

IMG_1566 copy2

and more class pictures (taken recently).

IMG_1567 copy2

suddenly feel so tall hahahaha. I am really glad I am in this class despite our class being the first in history not having anyone wasted (we didn’t even drink soju/beer!) during the trip. according to my teacher at least. we are now in the Yonsei Book of Records for not drinking during the trip! yay! drinking = culture in Korea.

okay time to sleep! GOODNIGHT!

Hi, Jamie unni.I’m going to apply for skku and have some questions. Can u help me please
1.If skku doesn’t require topik how do they evaluate yr korean?(to make sure you can understand lessons)
2.Do they require english certificates
3.The deadline for the spring semester is september, right? They offer some subjects in eng so we can choose to learn in korean/eng or must all students study these subjects in eng?
4. Is it hard to get accepted?
5.do they offer some subjects in eng for economics students as they do for business ad students
