Trams are INTERESTING. >=D.

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

you’ll probably think that the MTR is still the best thing, but in the MTR, all you’d see is ADVERTISMENTSSS. and as for trams? you’ll get to see more of Hong Kong. since it’s really cheap, just $2 per ride, and OCTOPUS CARDS ARE USABLE! =D. but just one thing, you might be squeezed, so usually I’ll run up to the top deck to find some place to sit and just go to where ever I want to. cabs are everywhere, so there is no problem about getting lost. with $$, nothing’s a problem in HK =P.

hk trams

so here’s the trams! my mom said the trams were there even when she came when she was around my age. so can you imagine HOW OLD it is? not only that, I find trams very convenient as it comes in every.. minute!

and so, the things I saw when I rode the tram.

beautiful buildings in hong kong

this is one of the reason why I love HK, even their old buildings are beautiful.

lippo

and they have really unique new buildings too!

jokey club

oh my, do you know what this is? gamble gamble horse horse! =P. look at the number of people!

the pawn

I pawn you! this is the funniest restaurant name. ever. pawn you! king of pawning!

ps : pawn is WIDELY used in games, which means… er.. to win? =P. or pawned, to lose. in games, the one who is pawned often refers to the person who is dead =X.

mannings

I thought it’s Guardians? same logo different name. how weird. >_>”.

and the spot I chose to stop at.

armani

and that place has A WHOLE LOT OF………..

lv

BRANDS! and all of them are the super expensive ones, 2 thousand HKD is not enough I guess to get a little something. unless you want a small little keychain. =P. but 2 thousand HKD in Mong Kok, I can buy 20 more dresses and a whole lotta accessories!

actually, I stop there because I want to take star ferry. I forgot to add in the star ferry picture ><” soon okay! but anyway, stalking somebody for a minute is enough amusing =D.

cute dressings =P

I will never make it as a stalker or a spy, because I am so damn obvious! T_T. cute dressings eh? =D.

star ferry

and you’d get the star ferry view! always remember to get the side seats! and try not to get the air conditioned side(I’m tricked T_T) unless there are no more seats outside.

xmas decoration

and the shopping mall near the pier has SUPERB decorations ALWAYS. so do go there to take some pictures =D. the decorations are EXPENSIVEEE.

talllllll building

tallest building in HK. my mom always said it spoils HK’s view. I don’t think so though hahahaha.

Hong Kong NEVER gets boring.

so where were we?

CAUSEWAYBAY. a spot never to be missed, a spot where you’d find pretty clothes with even prettier prices, also a spot where the food will never suck (in my experience, each stall serves maybe smaller portions, but their food are YUMM). I used to love shopping in Causewaybay so much, until I found the “new shopping spot”. hehehe. and if you have the PRO cams, go to this place, you’d find the MOST people here in my opinion =P.

causewaybay

so lets go!

Causewaybay has MORE people than this. it is quite difficult even for me to take pictures, but people there are nice, they’d make a tinyyyyy little space for you when you want to snap some pictures. and when you see a little gap, DO KNOW that it’s a lucky chance to take pictures =D.

causewaybay

I love HK because it has clean floor, everywhere! =D.

and there are pretty girls everywhere, and the perfect looking ones on posters, everywhere too!

I am not les, I don’t support les too, so girls, lets drool for the next picture =X.

cute guy on poster

@w@ so so so so so so so so so so so HOT. not only on posters of course.. cute guys flood the streets of Hong Kong, they are EVERYWHERE =D. ^^ ^^ ^^. just that I have no guts to take pictures of them =(. shy one okayyyy.

I think IF I were get a boyfriend, I’ll get a boyfriend in a place where I can find beautiful flowers in wonderful wrapping. the way flowers are usually wrapped in Malaysia are like worms covered with mud and the ones in HK are like BUTTERFLIESSS! the look of a bouquet of flowers affects the mood a lot although the person who sent it affects ten times more =X.

and guess what fast food restaurant is this =X. it is RATHER obvious haha. but who will think it’s using black and white dolls?!

IF and only IF you still don’t get it, the clue is, it’s logo is red and yellow. if you still don’t get it, then you should knock your head on the wall =P.

hk choi sum

Hong Kong Choi Sum! what’s so special about this simple plate of vegetable, why is it so famous?

and it is because it is very pure, it is easily chewed. unlike the choi sum in other places, it doesn’t have stringy stems. ( not sure how to say it, but stringy stems to me are hard to bite ).

trams

TRAMSSSSSSSSSSS! <3.

$2 per ride, doesn’t matter how far you go, how convenient =D.

Hong Kong loves PUPS!

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

like it or not, take the tram! because on your 7min journey up there, you’ll get to see more than riding in a friggin’ expensive taxi. but if you’re in groups, taking taxi MIGHT be cheaper. =P.

OKKAYYY, so today I will blog mostly about The Peak, located in Hong Kong Island. the walking distance is really really far to the tram station, so my advice is, take a bus, or taxi, but since the distance isn’t too long nor too short, take a taxi eventhough it’s a little expensive =D. all you got to do is to get off at MTR Station Central and get a taxi! will cost around 15HKD?

tram

it is almost impossible really difficult to take a nice picture of yourself, and the view behind, so taking picture of yourself, and the tram would be good enough =P. the tram is very pretty excuse me!

and at the peak!

shops in the peak

you’ll get to see many CHINESEY stuff!

beautiful art

and beautiful artworks <3. I personally really-really-REALLY like this piece, but it is too….. *close my eyes and walks away*. just look around, there’s many stuff with even prettier prices. haha. but if you think it’s all to materialistic, I bet outside have more INTERESTING stuff to see ^^.

and outside.

outside the peak

the oldest steak house or something, a plate of steak costs 600++HKD *coughs* but the view IS really spectacular haha, or would I say the price is just too PHENOMENAL for a SPECTACULAR place. =X. I would love to have a date here by the way. =D!

and then you’ll get to see english men with really sexy clothes. *chokes*. just joking.

angmohs

! =D. they’re the only ones up here with their bicycle i guess..  haha, it’s fun taking pictures with people you don’t know ^^.

and what more to see?? there’s MANY of something that I especially like. and it is..

cute doggie

DOGS! <3. I don’t like cats that much, but I LOVE dogs! it isn’t just men’s best friend, it’s a girl’s best friend too! the ones that you’ll see is those which is really tame and clean. very very spoilt by their owners =P. and the people there are really nice, they don’t mind letting you touch or play with their dogs ^^. but of course, do ASK before you do.

arts

I envy those who painted these. >_>”.

and it is also a nice place for photography =D.

golden retriver

and more tame, pretty and clean dogs! =D. they are just everywhere! think that these are nothing so interesting? well, after you see the next picture, maybe you’d change your thinking =P.

ehems

*coughs*.

lets proceed back into the inside!

wax musuem Cecilia Chung

Madame Tussaids! and I ALWAYS didn’t get a chance to go in because my mom said I should only go in with friends next time. T_T. okay. so who’s on?! Cecilia Chung looks kinda fake @@” I wonder if it’s because she’s the older version or something. haha.

godiva chocolates

and there’s something great for the chocolate lovers, Godiva. which is really expensive. I bought a NORMAL chocolate bar, you know, those which cadbury only sell for RM4 and guess how much it cost? HKD40. but it is indeed very good. =D.

and for those who doesn’t know, going up to the top deck of the peak, now requires HKD20 (only 15 for octopus card holders! I LOVE OCTOPUS CARD!). and PLEASE do not  be stingy at this, because if you think you can take an even nicer picture on the floor below, you’re quite wrong.

the peak

this is how it will look like =D.

and on the top deck?

the peak hong kong

well yeah, something like this ^^. do not need to question, the english guy behind IS taking a picture of me my mom actually. haha, and my back =P. not telling you why! =P.

just for laughs ><

and for the ones that have long hair, be ready to have your hair all messed up! so always prepare a rubber band, don’t repeat my mistake T_T”.

and to something that the more mature girls will like, and something that I LOVE!

poodle!!

I love the POODLE! ^^. damn cute ok. told you that you can see dogs everywhere =D. I know the more mature girls will be drooling at the guy now hahahahaha. =P.

hong kong the peak tram

it is either to take a picture of you, or the background. but if you have the big and cool flashlight, you can do miracles. =D. stop laughing at my seaweed fluffy messy hair! I shall blame the wind!><”.

super cool car

sitting in a taxi from the tram station back to the MTR station. isn’t that a nice car? =P.

central, hong kong

well, welcome to Hong Kong, accept the crowded-ness. this is considered as NOT VERY crowded for your information. =D.

beard papa hong kong

IT IS SO NOT FAIR!

why?

BECUSE MY FAVOURITE BEARD PAPA’S HAS SUCH A BIG VARIETY OF CREAM PUFFS HERE! and they even have cakes T_T. in Malaysia there’s only like…. 3 different flavours, not even as beautiful looking as any of these ><”.

causewaybay

next, a little of Causeway Bay! <3. now this is what I call, CROWDED.

michelle yeoh

Michelle Yeoh brought pride to Malaysians! =D.

Hong Kong Dim Sum!

Monday, November 17th, 2008

what is Hong Kong without DIM SUM?? nice or not, you still gotta try. I actually prefer the chee cheong fun in Malaysia but as for the other dishes? they are those which you’ll seldom/not find in anywhere other than HK. and there are “directions” for how you should order your dim sum. if you are in a high-class-restaurant-for-rich-people-that-tastes-normal, there would be no problem for a foreigner to order something. BUT, if you are in somewhere where locals pours in, you gotta know how.

firstly, you will be given a piece of printed paper, chinese words or whatever with numbers. THEN, there won’t be a price list around. the waiters or waitresses WILL NOT serve you to the dim sum. YOU got to squeeze yourself to the dim sum auntie and give her your paper and point out at what you want to eat. delicious ones and famous ones are usually waited with many people. and in my opinion, it is always better to go with friends. =D.

dim sum

dim sum can be really filling, so if you want to try more, get more people to go with you. =3. those who can’t speak cantonese at all are adviced to go with somebody who knows cantonese,or just go to the expensive ones that’s good, and the one that is REAL yummy and is REAL expensive, it would be Lei Garden (Lei Yuen). =D. you do not need to know where to find it, just go around the Mong Kok area and ask the locals for the restaurant.

hong kong street

this is what you’ll see at almost everywhere. beautiful isn’t it? =P. I LOVE IT. hahaha. not so pretty, but it is super special isn’t it?! but I just wonder if it’s dangerous to have so many signboards on top @@. the beauty of a forest of buildings. =>.

everythings so pretty in HK! even the no entry signs! =P.

wing lok street

this is called Wing Lok Kai (Tsuen Wan). never come here during the rainy season because this road is usually flooded, but it is getting fixed! =P. I seriously hope I can read chinese now, there is so many sign boards which is in chinese T_T. pffts for being a banana.

and another reason why you should love HK.

jamie and james

it is because there are many nice and cute people around! they will help if you need it, really! and this is my new made friend =D. such nice eyes he have =3. right??

exchange students

yes, many! =P. it is really nice of them to do charity right? =D. (my mom forces me to take pictures with everything and EVERYBODY. seriously.)

the peak

though it is quite of a polluted country, but plants will be planted at every little space and every little corner. =>.

hong kong the peak tram

ever been on trams? =D.

I need to learn how to read! wheee Hong Kong.

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

I’ve always thought that food in any restaurant rock in HK, but it kinda seem like I was wrong, SOMETIMES in the “popular places” their food will be less tasty, especially if there are no advertisements of them in newspapers or whatsoever. and which will be the better place? of course, the one packed with locals. even sometimes its interior is not so great, but the food are……………. super.  and just like how I bumped into this restaurant, it’s in Sai Yee Kai if I’m not mistaken. well, this one is a good example of how to see if it’s good ( usually the ones like these are guarunteed delicious. but there are fakes also I heard ).

food!

super canggih door. hahaha.

more food!

and no doubt the food is good. and did anybody tell you that the pig’s blood in HK are the best? it’s always fresh and smooth. very very yummy.

yumm

3 tiny drumsticks for $15, kinda reasonable right? =D.

who wants to get good bargains?!

cheap bargains

in most places in HK, they usually sell overpriced stuff, expensive this and that. especially in places like Causeway Bay and Ladies Market, but just nearby, you will see the packed shops usually on the second floor onwards which sell stuff that’s cheap, pretty and trendy. I say that because I saw the same scarf which is 99 bucks in Ladies Market selling for only 30 bucks in this place.

clothess

forgotten to take a picture of the shops (too busy shopping =P). so here are the stuffs I bought. =3. will be seeing it later on when I wear it. hahaaa. it’s all below 100! THIS IS JUST A SMALL PART OF WHAT I’VE BOUGHT. >=D.

so where did I buy it?

must-go-shopping-mall

I don’t know how to read chinese T_T, so recognize it from the picture okay. but it’s easy to find as it is outside the Mong Kok MTR station Exit… er, just follow the sign Argyle Street and then there are exit 1 and 2, I don’t remember which one, but turn to the one on your right. =D.

curry fish ball

I overheard some students saying ” the curry fish ball here are the best! ” and so I headed to it, and ordered a stick. and yes, it IS the best, so far. no other curry fish ball is better than this one =P. its at Yau Ma Tei exit at Pitt Street and Pitt Street right or left? RIGHT! right outside the MTR station also hahahaha.

cute guy

it is never boring being alone in the MTR stations because………. cute guy posters are everywhere @@. I do NOT fancy Ron Ng =D. actually, hot guys and pretty girls ARE everywhere in HK.

bus stop

and so IF you are really fed up with MTR. try taking the buses! lots to see! =D. and trust me, taxi’s are totally not worth it. don’t take it if there are other options.

harbor view

NEVER say that you went to HK if you’ve not visited the Harbour. because it is the most beautiful thing. and try not miss out the Symphony of Lights at 8pm daily! but missing it is alright. =X.

whats more to see in the Harbour?

well, there is the Avenue of Stars, where there are quite some stuff to do see there.

singer

something called “fascinating performance” or something @@ which is so-so. but at least something to SEE right? =D.

avenue of stars

rather than Statue of Liberty in NY, there is a.. Statue of Stars? in HK! =D =D.

loads of THINGS to camho with. =D. there are more, but I am not showing~. hehe.

and my favourite =D!

jet li!

camho with “stars”! their hand prints =X. good exercise too, as you will have to squat down and TOUCH the not so dirty floor. and you will have the urge to do it with every star you like. hahahhahaha. it’s just weird, why must they do it on the floor ><”.

and when I say every star, I mean EVERY STAR!

aaron kwok

the ever so famous and HANDSOME (it seems like he never gets old) Aaron Kwok <3. he’s FINALLY married. can you imagine, he is like around 3o years older, and still, so famous among the youngsters my age? o.0.

jackie chan

I’ve always thought it’s Jacky Chan, not Jackie Chan. I just realized this TODAY! when you go to the west, you tell them, “hi! I am from Malaysia!” that english guy will go “sorry? where is Malaysia?” but if you ask them, “do you know who is Jackie Chan?” they will say “YES! of course I do!” he is more popular than a country my goodness. *I’ve experienced this while talking to an english online*. =((.

michelle yeoh

Datuk Michelle Yeoh truly brought pride to Malaysians. =P. in fact, she is like the only? Malaysian that made it to the big screens. why Malaysia so big but so little people made it into the big screen but Hong Kong so tiny and so MANY made it.*shakes head*. Malaysian actors gotta work hard! =D.

harbor view

then, you can camho with the view while star cruise is passing by. =D.

harbor view

so this is the fascinating Symphony of Lights which is, to me, not something compulsory to see if you’re in HK for only 2 days or so. (egg tarts is a must eat!!! wuahahaha).

the peninsula

the most expensive oldest hotel in Hong Kong. facing the super great view in front. if only I get to stay there for a night =P. <3.

joi kin!
dim sum? anyone?

next, Dim Sum anyone?
