this shop seems like a famous shop with all its TV interviews and all. they are priced reasonably too! apparently, jjambbong is a Koreanfied Chinese food. which me, a Chinese, have never heard of. haha. but it’s basically ramyun (not the instant noodles type. the REAL ramyun) cooked with seafood soup.

it was broadcasted on TV!

Joseph told me that of all things he ate in Korea, he enjoyed jjambbong the most. where I’ve never tried. but seriously, it was like love at first bite.

my Seoul Jjambbong. it has calamari with mussels. yes, I said it. MUSSELS. I don’t know about you. but I LOVEEEEEEEEEE mussels. and there was many of them. about 8-10. but there is another jjambbong called the MUSSELS jjambbong which has the whole bowl filled with mussels. but I choose this because it have a lot of mussels already and it is only 4,000won. satisfaction from it being so awesome and also being standard in price. pretty worth it if you ask me.

Wai Kit with his Budae Jjambbong. he really really hate seafood. and I dragged the unwilling him to the shop. okay, I exaggerated. but he really don’t like seafood that’s why he ordered Budae Jjambbong which translates into Army Jjambbong/ Poor-mans Jjambbong. despite it’s “poor” name, Budae Jjigaes and even this Budae Jjambbong is the more expensive ones on the menu. but the best thing of all, Wai Kit likes it at last! =D.

no seafood at all other than the soup base which have a strong seafood taste. but yum. they are both good. though I prefer mine, which is also cheaper. TEEHEE.

directions to Hanyang Jjambbong : somewhere in between Daiso and Yoogane in Sinchon. at the road linking Edae and Sinchon Rotary.

take the McDonald exit /Exit 3 on Sinchon station and keep walking until you see a HUGE red pipe with a mirror on the left side of the road but do not cross over to it. instead, turn right (there should be a nature republic shop on that corner and a Turkish stall in front of it.) and walk straight all the way and you will see the Jjambbong shop =D.

the shop closed down the last time I checked =(.

Hello! I know that you’re studying in Yonsei, and that it’s a christian university, I’m an atheist, myself, and I don’t know if I want to go there. What are your thoughts?

Jamie does this shop have more than 1 branch ? Cos it seems I found other blog in Korean and the direction seems different on the map compare to your direction.
