well this picture’s quite the irony, because the main dish oyakodon isn’t in the picture. but scroll down to see it! well, it isn’t as picture perfect, but it tastes HEAVENLY.
Hisago’s situated near Kiyomizu-dera which is probably the most famous temple in Kyoto. so this place’s so famous, you’ll have to expect at least a 30minute wait.
so this place’s most popular dish: Oyakodon. the name itself is quite uhm, disturbing when I first knew what it meant. Oya means parents, and Ko means child. so.. you’ve guessed it, this dish is made out of chicken and eggs over rice. it tastes phenomenal. the eggs are so soft, it melts in your mouth. the chicken’s super tender too! mm..
the other popular dish here is their cha-soba. don’t think it is the best in all of Japan but it is definitely one of the better ones! it has quite a dense cha taste in it and the shoyu’s really light and fragrant.
Itadakimasu!
the 3 hungry Koreans from my university haha.
the last time we went there a white girl who spoke perfect Japanese served us. thought it was pretty cool!
here are the prices of their popular menu!
here’s the map!
