if you ask me, I’d not recommend anybody who does not have extra time to spend to come here because.. it’s really nothing much.
unless you’re going there with your other half, then it might be quite romantic walking along Hangang river while watching the pretty rainbow fountain.
being here for over a year, it was my first time there. I guess I was expecting it to be spectacular but it was well, just pretty.
Directions : Dongjak Station (Seoul Subway Line 4), Exit 1 or 2.
the bridge is really long. I always come by Banpo bridge when I take the bus without knowing that this long bridge is THE Banpo bridge. other than the fountain, I actually liked the reflections on the water more.
had to have a picture with the tourist destination! but it was super hard to capture this shot as my camera kept focusing on the background. pfft.
the colours and the direction of the fountain changes as the song plays. when I was there they played some Korean song I think but I definitely heard “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion. they played about 3-4songs which lasted for 15minutes.
weekdays – 12:00, 20:00, 21:00
weekends – 12:00, 17:00, 19:30 (July and Aug), 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 21:30
traveling there on a weekend might probably be better as it comes on every.. well half an hour. which means you’d get to see 3 shows in 1 and a half hours. that’s 50% of your time spent there =D.
there’s also another round place open place with steps for you to sit at but it is more packed there and much more closer. it depends on which angle you want to see it from =D.
I WENT THERE ! Rushed like hell then they say it was canceled because they forecasted that it will rain that day .___________________.
… it looks nice in the picture…
but this scenery looks really romantic in korean series… you should have come with your bf… hihiiihii 😀
Jamie, you say you took line 4 exit 1….can you give the details…like in exit 1 ..how far I need to walk to the banpo bridge?
