this place can be easily seen through google. just one click and millions of photographs of the beautiful fully bloom sakura view will be viewable. but it was pretty sad that when I was there, there wasn’t any. =(. I am not sure about this but I felt that sakura’s bloom at a different time sometimes. like the ones at DisneySea, they were fully bloom! even at such a cold weather. and even some in Kamakura. so I guess it really depends on the location? but as for Ueno, it comes early April. to be safe, travel a little before mid April since the sakura flowers will 0nly last for 2 weeks.

another picture which requires your brain to visualise how light pink flowers are filled on every tree behind me. hehehe. and during winter it looks so gloomy. gosh winter is such a gloomy season!

so if you think you’re not the type that likes to take strolls in a park, you may skip this place. but one thing I know for sure, is that there are beautiful temples here.

I saw this and immediately pulled my mom over. not the cute dogs. btw that’s a very old grandma walking 3 dogs with a baby. Japanese (old) people, forever so healthy!

anyway! I was talking about what could be found in Kyoto, those red thrunks behind. eventhough the ones in Kyoto is clearly more attractive, but this one’s not bad!

you know you saw it. that’s a fox over there. (with a napkin? HUH?) and it’s absolutely not a rumour that people worship foxes in asia.

this is the fox temple. which I stupidly thought it was a dog temple pfft mainly because I think dogs are the most awesome animal.

I am not sure about Japan, but in Taiwan and China, they worship foxes for love luck. like maybe praying for their other half to be faithful to them or perhaps just getting the other half.

I don’t know what are these but I bet people put them up for luck. =D. whatever it is. it’s beautiful. wondering if it would mean like tails for the fox hmm.

they even have pretty drawings on it! gosh these Japanese people! and it was there where I realised how pretty Japanese words are. the neat handwriting of the Japanese people written on the wooden plates.

holy water! it is seriously drinkable. I drank once at a.. well, a place that has much more people drinking it so I tried. it tasted like mountain water. very pure. best thing was, IT WAS COLD! =3.

I bet no one actually noticed the foot of the basin. looks like it’s folding his arms angrily but I still couldn’t guess what it is. the protector perhaps?

I have never enjoyed visiting temples as much as visiting temples in Japan. seriously, it makes you feel as if you’ve entered a calm place to relax.

I like how dogs are so obedient while their owner is doing something serious pfft. is it me or do I think that this dog is more lovable and adorable than the puss in boots cat. =D.

another place to drink holy water! =D. actually I guess it’s more for washing our face and hands. the ratio of people who actually drinks it is probably 1:20 *coughs* usually men.

and after exiting Ueno Park. me and my mom just kept walking. we didn’t know where we were heading to but we are pretty sure we’ll eventually find our way back. until we saw ANOTHER beautiful temple!

this one has its own beauty because it is in the middle of a lake.

that stall behind me is what I expect Japan to have when I first stepped on Japanese soil. and THERE IT WAS! it’s pretty rare in Tokyo but don’t it remind you of NARUTO?! or perhaps other Animes? =3.

I’m not sure if it’s a good thing but the lake is more attractive than the temple. HAHAHA.

because there are plenty of ducks on it. =3.

the ducks are damn pretty alright?! except all the ducks there seriously have scary eyes pfft. did you even notice that different types of ducks don’t only vary in size and colours, but EYES TOO? maybe these are the angmoh ducks or something with different colour iris. wth.

did you know, most birds in Japan are fat? I guess they are not exactly REALLY FAT. but it’s maybe because they have thicker feathers. =P.

and because this was the last day of my trip, my mom was very exhausted for sleeping for merely 6 hours a day. so she went back to the hotel to rest and I went to Ikebukuro(again) for more shopping! I couldn’t get enough of Cold Stone too. BANANA CARAMEL! and if you visit Shinjuku please try Mr Donut. eventhough there’s a shop here in 1Utama, IT IS NOT THE SAME. I’m pretty disappointed with the one here =S.

I am sad to tell you but it’s already the end of my Japan posts. *SNIFFF*. until the next time I visit Japan again! but come to think of it, it isn’t so bad because I still have a few things to talk about for Korea. =3. really hope you find the series of post on Japan interesting!

every country has its own “Petaling Street” and eventhough it’s not the most glamourous looking street in a city, it’s always a very popular tourist spot. but instead of thinking that you’d have to travel all the way to Ueno just for one thing, you’re wrong.

it’s completely hitting 2 birds with 1 stone. for the first attraction in Ueno, I’ll be telling you about Ameyokocho. so wait up for the other post. it will probably surprise you much =D.

the huge Ueno station. one of the huge stations in Tokyo. but this one, filled with PANDAS!

there’s a park(zoo) in Ueno with Pandas but unfortunately my mom doesn’t want to go because we heard that it’ll take up at least half of our day there.

so as you can see, Ueno is really proud of their Pandas =D. and after exiting Ueno station, you’d probably see this across the street.

the row of shops with a huge number of Pachinko shops. Pachinko’s are gambling shops. with er.. little round metal balls. no idea how they do it since I don’t encourage gambling.

and by the way, that’s not Ameyokocho yet. but just walk on it. on the second right turn after entering the street, turn left, and walk across the train tracks. and you’ll find yourself at Ameyoko.

there are quite a few of these conveyor belt sushi shops. or the Americans call it hole-in-the-wall-sushi. hahahaha which I find absolutely amusing. =P.

unfortunately when I went it wasn’t the sakura season yet so there were very little sakura flowers. but I wonder.. where does Sakura trees get their nutrients if they don’t have leaves?!

AMEYOKOCHO! actually, they seriously sell everything. food, vege, fish, clothes, junks, things…. everything. it is a part of Japan less seen. well, let the picture do its work for your understanding =D.

can you imagine what if spiders have legs this huge. it’ll scare all my wits away wth. they belong to the Alaskas king crab. to be honest, I do not fancy these crabs so much. it’s pretty soft in texture and if eaten grilled without seasoning, it has a

strong taste of the.. sea. at some point I like crabs like these. but as of now.. no. but really, one crab leg is filling enough.

but those crab legs costs like RM40-RM240(!!!!!!! just for its legs?! you must be freaking kidding me).

discounted seafood hahaha. I am pretty sure things here are bargainable. so if you have the heart to buy it, no harm trying =D.

RM10 or 250yen for a cone of ice cream. you know it isn’t worth it. but you know you want it. =/.

I heard Malay food was damn expensive in Japan. but RM20 for kebab.. still not as bad as what I heard, RM40 for roti canai wth.

if you think you hate parks/temples, it’s okay if you skip this spot. but if you’re already planning to go over to Ueno Park. seriously, WHY NOT DROP BY?!

the famous beer in an attractive green bottle has yet to come out with another amazing party after the previous at Sepang Gold Coast was such a success! I heard they got their own chalet! party non stop for 2 days!

but this is the first time I attended Carlsberg’s “where’s the party?” so I was really curious on where the location was!

I remember 2 years ago when I was sitting for my major exam, Nuffnang organized the same Blog Awards event in Singapore and I was dreading to go but since SPM is clearly more important, I stayed home. but it is alright, finally, I get to come to #NAPBAS! and this time, it’s even bigger with 500 bloggers; 250 from Malaysia and 250 from all over the region like Singapore, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia and the Philiphines!

a small fry like myself (T____T) wouldn’t make it to the nomination but it was such a great event. it wasn’t just about cheering for our favourite blog sites, but instead, it’s a great event for us to meet new people from all over the region! I have a bunch of pictures from the after party but sadly, not in my camera =/. well, it’s alright, so lets focus more on the event.

it’s held at Marriott Hotel @ Putrajaya. and because I am almost illeterate on roads, I had my sister send me to Zouk where Nuffnang kindly rents a shuttle bus for us to get to the venue.

but I on the other hand, was a little special teehee. since Volkswagen is one of the sponsors, they sponsored 4 cars for some of us to be driven in style to Marriott Hotel!

and that’s my Volkswagen Passat! even just for a ride, it’s still awesome. muahahhahaa.

7 of us whom had ridden in style. Isaac, Serge, Cindy (her dress is so pretty, it’s by Carven Ong!), Jess (who took the ride with me!), Ben Dan and Benjamin.

no doe eyes even with contacts. hur. T_T.

why does my eyes have to be the smallest in my family. pfft. do you know how horrible I had to look whenever I take a picture with my sister? U_U.

it was such a comfortable ride. not only the outside is classy, the inside is equally as classy. and you can set your own temperature for EACH SIDE. ain’t that cool? moreover, this car picks up very quickly. it was the longest ride. Jess had so much to tell us about and we had a very talkative driver to drive us too! ^^. wait, did I mention I’m very talkative myself? we didn’t have to guess, our car MUST BE THE NOISIEST.

comfortable black leather. and if you’re wondering why the red lipstick which I’ve never put on before, it is because I wanted to achieve the vampire look but which in the end got sabo-ed (expression of being interrupted in a bad way. ahahah) by Ginny calling me a Datin PFFT.

and in about 40minutes, we arrived at our venue at 6pm, an hour before it should actually start. but well, you know, MOST Malaysians are late. but it’s not such a bad thing because I got to catch up with so many other bloggers. I want more events like these. MORE MORE MORE! at least before I leave hahaha.

the pretty Christmas Tree. I like it when Chirstmas Trees have heaps of light decoration. but waste electric hahaha. Christmas wastes damn a lot of electric everyone should just light up candles. which in a way, releases CO2. errrrrrr. maybe we should all just use a kinetic torch light pfft.

surprising how these chemistry facts are still not wiped out from my brain. D=.

so since we were early, everyone noticed I disappeared for a WHILE while mingling around. and there I was, munching these delectable mile crepes by Humble Beginnings, an online bakery shop. YUMMY!

this is handsome Robb. I like to call him handsome because he is. and he’s always fishing for handsome compliments so. HAHAHAHA. =D. but you have to agree that he’s handsome. he was once (more than) twice my weight. unbelievable? believe it. and he wrote how he did it on his blog. <<< find out. it didn’t work out for me because I didn’t have any discipline when it comes to food T_T.

the latest generation of pretty girls beside me. they are both sisters! Jane and Ashley by the surname Lau (it’s the same as Liew in Chinese). so we probably share the same great great great great great great great grandpa. =3.

KENNY SIA! who doesn’t know Kenny. if you do not know Kenny then you’re probably not Asian. HAHAHAHA.

I met Kenny for less than 5 times and he remembers my name! he actually makes an effort to remember every single person he met. U_U. *touched*.

with Ringo and Audrey! if I didn’t know them, I’d think that they’re Japanese girls. Audrey and Timothy is getting married have you heard?! =D. and their 9gag.com way of getting married made it to the front page of 9gag! and you can read about their funny yet romantic way of getting married here on Audrey’s blog! so really, Congratulations to both of them! and also Ringo for winning the Best Fashion Blog! I’ve never actually really spoken to Ringo before this but she’s actually really friendly compared to what I might have imagined how someone very famous would be like =D.

and my favourite blogger of all times (same goes to the hundreds of thousands others who voted for her I guess haha), XIAXUE! if I am not wrong, Wendy should be one of the reason why most bloggers are bloggers today. even I myself was partially influenced by her. I like how she’s so real and isn’t afraid to voice out her own opinions U_U. eventhough I myself is very straight forward, I’d still be reluctant to say it in public. I was so surprised when she didn’t win the best Lifestyle Blog. but she later won the Most Influential Blog Award and also the OVERALL AWARD! in the end, still the BEST blogger! =D.

it was a course by course dinner with all the appropriate cutleries provided. I hadn’t actually experienced eating with so many cutleries on the table for a very long time. so I was actually pretty impressed by how Nuffnang set everything up!

we were then served the green soup. I don’t know what is that called but it’s yummy and a berry ice cream in the middle to wash off all unpleasant taste that might mix (and spoil) with the main course later! so thoughtful!

 

there was 2 choices for us, either fish or chicken. I choose the fish one since I shouldn’t actually eat chewy things thanks to my inflammed jaw (it’s been like this for almost half a year wth!). and lastly, the tiramisu dessert. =3.

in between of the award announcements, there was performances by our very own Reshmonu and another local singer, Comedian Harith Iskander which cracked everyone up as expected and…

POLE DANCING. yeap, you got me right. pole dancing. it’s very-the Burlesque. eye candies for the guys. haha.

Since I don’t know which group to start with so I’ll go according to the sequence of how they came out for the concert. I was pretty late so I only heard 2 songs performed by Miss A. they were really beyond my expectations. great voice, really. I didn’t like their songs so much but when they sang it live it was actually really nice!

don’t Faye Jia look like she’s shooing Suzy to the back? EHEHE, just saying =D.

they had awesome cheoreographers. but those laying on the stage dances are pretty hard for people behind to see. I was sitting at the VIP area so it was still alright but it’s still a little difficult to see. couldn’t imagine people behind me, standing. but for those at the Rock Zone, I bet they loved it much. =P.

and I just noticed why their name is B1A4. initially I really have NO IDEA. until a week ago I got to know that asking blood types are almost like asking “what’s your hobby?” in Korea. apparently, being blood type B is bad because you’re more likely to be a player. there was even a movie, “my boyfriend is blood type B” about it! blood type A : a perfectionist. blood type O : always late and has principle! blood type AB : very laid back. so what blood type are you? there was this awesome comic about blood types my friend sent me! shall I post about it?

ANYWAY. why they are called B1A4 is because.. 4 of them are blood type A. one blood type B which is Baro. hahahaha.

really stealing all the teenage girl’s hearts away. hahaha. I’m still a teenager. so you know what I mean =D.

I was so happy because they sang all my favourite song (probably everybody elses too). they sang 6 songs. I couldn’t remember all of it but I loved Pinnochio, NU ABO and Hot Summer! Victoria is so very beautiful and Sulli absolutely adorable!

poor Sulli who was the only one who wore flats. she was 22cm shorter 2 years back when they debuted and she’s now the tallest! Sulli is about 170cm tall I guess. since Victoria is supposed to be 168cm and Sulli looks like she’s than Vic eventhough Vic is in heels. HMM. but it is reported that she is 169cm on the website. IMPOSSIBRUUU. she should have grown even more now. either Vic’s not as tall or Sulli’s shoes have insoles HAHA. I can’t imagine how Sulli is already being called a baby giant. imagine I go to Korea haha. they’ll call me plain giant.

IT WAS THE BEST SONG OF THE NIGHT T_T. I literally had goosebumps. and not many singers can do that! even if you don’t understand Korean, you’ll be able to understand what he’s singing as he projects the feelings out perfectly. U_U.

if they had to pick a prince riding on a white horse from Korea, he’d be it.

I know that there are a lot of Eunhyuk fans. =D.

and Siwon fans. I didn’t manage to take everyones pictures since they were on the OTHER SIDE most of the time. T_T.

one reason why I love SuJu is because they don’t care so much about how they look because they already know that they are good looking in all of our hearts and so they really enjoy themselves on stage. do you know, some Korean celebrities I met really try their best to perform in a way that they’d look just like they finished their make up touch up even after they finish performing. which.. we fans notices too.

Natalie and Vivien! they were both working for Mo.a so I kind of sat alone myself T_T. but I really had fun because I am a loner like that pfft. I really like Natalie because she is the best listener on earth and Viviens because she’s the nicest person around. she have a cake and she’ll probably give you half hehehe. these two people are the type that doesn’t hope for anything in return and I guess people like these are what I call true friends. =3.

PS : I am not sure if the DSLR was allowed but since I went in really late I am not sure why I managed to sneak it in but then later I saw a few people with DSLRs inside too. they should allow DSLRs at concerts taking their handphone to record vids have no difference really. it still blocks people behind. hmph.
