[Seoul: Sinsa] Better Than Beef

BetterThan Beef

so what is better than beef you ask? I have always walked pass this shop and was very intrigued by its sign and when I checked the menu, it’s actually pork that’s cooked so well that the restaurant owners claim it to taste better than beef. went to this Alice in the Wonderland themed restaurant twice and I would like to confirm that yes, it’s a chick’s place. but a very beautiful chick’s place.

[Seoul: Gwanghwamun] Spicy Eel 공평동 꼼장어

MEXICO

recently discovered this place while walking around Gwanghwamun in search for a good restaurant and uh.. well, this place has the highest rating in a Korean foodie app so I thought I’d give it a try. they mainly sell eel, but they also sell many other things like mini octopuses, pork, chicken feet, pig’s skin, huge prawns… but most of them are spicy. the best dish there’s the eel so you don’t have to consider anything else if you’re visiting for the first time haha. [Seoul: Sangsu/Hongdae] Gyeongju Sikdang 경주식당

GYEONGJU (1)

Seoul’s trendy restaurants are slowly taking over instagram, and one of them where many famous Korean instagrammers frequent is this one; Gyeongju Sikdang, which means Gyeongju restaurant. Gyeongju, being the Kyoto of Korea, or in other words, the ancient city, I was expecting the food here to be as traditional as possible, but it was actually very much improvised!

[Seoul: Noksapyeong] Kkaolli pochana

I am pretty hipster myself and that is why I love the alleys of Noksapyeong because it makes me feel super very hipster. for those who is bored of eating Korean food every single day, there’s this place called Kkaolli Pochana where they serve Thai food in a very laid back Thai-looking environment.

very Thai! I’ve actually wanted to try this place for a LONGGGG time but because the queue was always more than an hour long, I decided not to. but one day, I couldn’t stand it anymore and I queued up for it! but it only took me 30minutes! Continue reading “[Seoul: Noksapyeong] Kkaolli pochana”

[Seoul: Hongdae] my favourite cake shop! Peony!

I’m not saying that the cakes from Peony is very cheap but.. it’s average and yet it tastes sooooo heavenly! I love their cakes so much I queued for an hour to get their cake for my birthday last year. yes, their whole cakes requires queuing.
