this would be my second time posting about it. hehe. about a month (yes it have been that long!) ago, my mom and I brought my grandma out to the malls. this would be the rarest situation because she doesn’t even like to go out! not only that, it is already rare to see me in malls with my mom. ahhaha. my mom said when you get older you’d find malls boring. hope not? =/.

my beloved grandma! I would say, she’s the number 1 woman to me =D. I was born without any grandpa’s. but having my grandma is enough <3.

she cooks very well too, so I wouldn’t simply take her to any food. only GOOD ones =D.

Spicy Beef Stew.

I’ve had this the last time I came. and that mango salad side dish with jellyfish(?) is VOLUPTUOUS. soup’s great too! tip for female : you either order a drink and become too full to drink the soup, don’t order any drinks or the best choice, share the drink. haha.

when I ate something I really like, it’ll take me a few times to move on to the next dish I guess.

but really, this is the closest thing to the niu pai I had in China.

RATING : 5STARS!

my grandma’s pineapple fish =D with saucy chopped pork on the rice.

there isn’t much pineapple taste but I guess that is how it’d taste after being cooked? the taste is really clear and the fish.. it’s just cooked so perfectly. you’d have to try it to believe it. and it is rare for my grandma to praise outside food. =P.

RATING : 5 STARS!

my mom’s chilli chicken dish. but it ain’t spicy at all. the flavour is good but I’d say it’s a bit too sweet for my likings. and it was the RECOMMENDED ITEM. but the non-recommended item tastes better. and I have to say, they are VERY generous in giving chicken. hahaha. which is a very good thing to all big tall guys =D.

RATING : 3 STARS.

forgot the name of this. but I’ll call it the taiwanese hamburger. it has a big slick of pork with sour vege and parsley and peanuts (with SUGAR! hmm?) squashed in between the bread/mantou-taste-alike.

it taste’s not bad, but I would say the combination is rather funny ahaha.

RATING : 3.5!

PS : I am very strict on my ratings alright?! =P.

my sister told me that her friends told her that this place tastes normal with bombastic prices. but I would say, it depends on what you order. you couldn’t possibly have all the luck in food. that is why you need a mole near your lips (there’s a saying that you’d have luck with food if you have a mole near your lips!). HAHAHA. (saying that because I have it, and I didn’t like it there. T_T)

this place, is worth the price.

MORE FOOD! next will be Hennessy Artistry, NO MORE FOOD. PROMISE.

though my first glance of it was in Times Square, this is my first time trying it out. there was always these long queues which discouraged me a bit. but hey! thanks to Blup Blup, I got invited to do a review for it. =D. finally after the long wonder of how this taste like.

the pretty design of its counter.

soup in bread! (and if you’re not very fond of bread, you can order it without the bread)

the bread, if I am not mistaken, is a wholemeal bread. mine’s Clam Chowder. not many people order this because it isn’t very famous in Malaysia. but seriously, this should be the best. it was so good and thick, you’ll crave for more. but the bread was a bit too much for me, I only finished half. T_T. probably because I had pasta too =X. but the soup, GONE. so good I stole Wilson’s one! guys could finish up the bread don’t worry =D.

instructions on how to enjoy the soup with the bread provided! (and this can be tapau-ed too. I saw many people tapauing these in TS and here.)

our drinks! =D. I like.

my pasta! this pasta is really good. I love pasta’s with loads of onions in them. and unlike pasta’s in other places, this one doesn’t have any weird spice taste, which is great for most Malaysian’s taste buds! well, most restaurants uses those ready made canned sauce which tastes awfully.. canned? but it’ll be super perfect with TABASCO sauce. *suggesting kekekeke* though it’s already nice like that hahaha. I love chilli hot stuff =D.

the bread! I don’t know how this taste. it’s Tian Chads, perhaps you’d have to head over to his blog to find out =P. but he told me it’s not bad. =D.

the two that gave me my Canon remote control! =D. Simon and Jason. both also hensem kan? geniuses too!

MORE BLOGGERS! =D. awesome people!

Simon : eh where’s the present we gave you? never bring kah?
Me : GOT! LETS PLAY! =D.

camwhoring without holding the camera! hahaha xD <3.

when people shoot you, you can shoot them back =D.

a little more camwhore wookie?

#1 pretty Maine!

#2 =D.

#3 HAHAHAHAH speechless =P.

awesome freak spotted with an even more awesome lens.

Churros Royale, was told this is really good. I’d say that the Churros are really good, but the fillings are bad >_<”. I’ve tried strawberry and mango. they are crazily sweet and at the same time, it doesn’t taste good. so my advice is, order those with dips, not those with fillings. but the good part is, they are really soft inside and on the other hand, crunchy on the surface! =D!

and here’s an update of the assignments that I have been doing =D.

*these assignment pictures are clickable

my TIGERS <3. completed with artline pens and an 8B pencil for the background. lazy mau buat sketching =X.

this is called a PHOTOGRAM! and hey, I printed/processed/wash/whateveryoucallit these pictures. takes 10 mins to finish one picture. LONG procedure T_T. smelly chemicals too. but it’s all worth it. my heart was thumping as I did these, you really won’t know what you’d get seriously. you’re supposed to put designs on top of the paper, press it down and expose it to light to the time that’s suitable with your objects. eg : too long exposure will darken the whole paper, too short? you’d only see the shape of your objects, not the texture. and working in a dark room is NOT easy. @@”.

pictures from the others. =D.

ah pOp’s camera. =D. this is pretty must everybody. this started with 4 people posing. I jumped in and suddenly everybody jumped in too =X. damn random hahaha.

and Lionel’s cam..

hello =D.

yes, yes, I know, I eat a lot. but it is irresistible. especially when I SMELL food. it’s just so good. thinking about durian makes me salivate. <3. so what’s famous at Malacca? DURIAN CENDOL OF COURSE!

the most famous durian cendol store at Jonker Street. it’s called the Jonger 88. it have been here for YEARS. I come here every time I am in Malacca! but that was pretty long ago. still, very good!

no doubt they have the most delectable asam laksa (2nd. 1st’s at Penang’s Air Itam). but the worst part about this shop is, their seats are pretty limited, so most people prefer eating while standing outside on the road. and that, of course attracts more people because the heavenly smell of durian diffuses through the air. <3.

the part I like the most. it is an open air area where antique stuff are everywhere. very nonya. love it.

when I mean everywhere..

it is seriously, EVERYWHERE.

DURIAN ABC! <3.

DURIAN CENDOL! <3 <3 <3. I prefer cendol over ABC actually, not as sweet and the taste is more focused. it wasn’t as goad as I’ve remembered though. I was hoping for something better.. if I am not mistaken, they’ve gotten less generous on the durian paste =/.

there is another one at tan kim hock which is nicer. but whenever you go there, you’d definitely splurge a lot on dodol, sweets, biscuits and etc. because, the whole shop is FILLED with edible souvenirs. all so good!

whenever there’s food, Jamie’s face will definitely light up. *GOOD food.

MrLongEyelash.

here’s one touching story : Nigel hates durian. but Jamie wanted to try both durian ABC and chendol and knows that it is impossible for her to finish it. so Nigel said “it’s alright.. I’ll share it with you =/”, AWWWWW. =3.

NONYA LAKSA! it isn’t bad. my first time having this so I couldn’t really rate it. it’s like asam laksa without the asam like its name. but I like the asam! =X.

the shop that sells this this laksa. =D. I like this picture, the setting looks a little vintage albeit there’s this one modernized building pfft.

beard papa used to sell this hugeee durian cream puff for rm5. and not anymore T_T. but I FOUND ANOTHER ONE!

MINI DURIAN CREAM PUFFS! very nice loh can? I think it’s RM1 each. =D. YUM YUM. super orgasmic. heh.

that posh building is called BEI ZHAN. it’s a restaurant. my NEXT PREY. =D. I googled the place. apparently it’s price is really reasonable and the food is bloody delicious. <3. no wonder for the big building. and two (or three) floors!

Fun Fact : I LOVE PEARS! they are DELICIOUSSSS. all types of pear! green ones, yellow ones, brown ones!

went to Hennessy Artistry @ Zouk on Saturday. I didn’t know a single artist there, but it was no doubt one of the best. be it the artist or the club, it is awesome. =D. whoever who thinks that it suck sucks! Cranberry is the new yummy flavour!

so you have a hint of whats coming up next right?

MY ASSIGNMENT! I added glass beads on top of the lace now actually, but too lazy to snap a picture of it. anybody want to buy my lamp? heh.

just last Friday, Nigel dragged me down to Johor Bahru (because he said I have NO LIFE.), the border line of Singapore. (so tempted to visit Singapore T_T). The best thing was, he only took 3 hours to reach. =D! highway is the best. especially with NO JAM at all. I had fun looking at all those cheap chocolates at Zone. =D. I envy all JB people because they can get a supply of cheap chocolates pfft.

Nigel and Michelle.

I had class in the morning and I went to JB all the way without sleeping or dozing off. at 1am I felt like a zombie already. T_T. and thank goodness the hotel was just next to the place this event was held.

event : this is FREEDOM! okay, this is the first time I am in a club playing techno trance music. it’s very much for people who came without friends to enjoy themselves too. you don’t need a partner to dance to the music. =D. I did not dance (because I don’t know how to lah!), but it was entertaining to see Chris do it while I enjoy my free flow of drinks. =P. but Chris hates the camera so no pictures of him T_T.

okay anyway that is not really my main point of getting to JB because I have a VERY BERRY GLUTTONOUS MIND. ngek ngek ngek! totally got fat because of this trip. CONFIRM.

so lets talk about breakfast. I woke up and I was crazily hungry so I ate the hotel’s orange. half of it. and I got hungrier because the orange is so sour and so we head to a Hakka restaurant. (say, the turning in to right leads you to Mutiara hotel, turn left to reach to this shop. you’d definitely spot the BIG HAKKA word.)

the Yong Tau Foo which is really good. I love the soup that comes with it. and the REAL NICE YTF CHILLI. =D.

AND THIS ONE. highly recommended! =D. it’s one of the most special hakka dish I’ve ever had. and it is my first time having it too despite being a full hakka and always travelling to hakka villages in China.

THIS is the hakka village of Fujian. it’s 3-4 hours drive from my home in China. (can reach Penang ok! or Singapore!) very beautiful place. but, very boring too no doubt. unless you like these type of go-to-relax-your-heart-mind-and-soul kind of trip because at night (6-7pm) the sky will be completely dark. you won’t get to see a thing when you look out of your window. I prefer those with loads of shops and malls! (exp : HK! BANGKOK! GUANGZHOU!)

but I have to say, village food is really good. really really good.

chewy yam balls I call it. and this originated from those round round earth houses too. BLOODY GOOD. maybe I taste my ancestor’s love or something that is why it is so nice tsk tsk. <3.

okay that is all for breakfast. LETS LOOK AT LUNCH!

MUAR OTAK-OTAK and SATAY! eventhough the satay in Kajang is the best, but the ones in Muar/Malacca is really different.

this is in Muar’s Gluttonous street. a street named after me HAHA okay just joking.

okay, the BIGGEST difference is the HALAL or not difference. this is PORK! =P. and the next difference is the sauce. some places, they mix pineapple to their sauce! but this one I had in Muar didn’t I think? but it still tasted really good. perhaps it is because it’s pork hehehe. I am a big fan of pork! =X.

and Muar otak-otak. MUCH BETTER than the ones in KL lor. it’s soft and there are a generous amount of fish in it. <3.

TADA! the special part! Muar satay serves satay without onion but instead, with PINEAPPLES!

and my cacat smile. sigh.

AND THE GENEROUS HOR JIAN (fried oyster) UNCLE! the best of the best! really, I’ve never had such good Hor Jian before. and I told him to add the amount of chilli. which makes it even better hehehe xD.

unlike KL, it is cooked in a super big wok and it’s very watery when he first cook it. and can you see the SIZE o the Hor Jian?! like, half the size of those big oyster we eat at some english restaurant! compared to the peanut sized ones in KL, this is SUPER BIG.

Nigel. he didn’t want to take pictures one, so the only way is to hold the camera and point it towards him only. you don’t need to ask because his answer will be NO if you do.

will save dinner for the next post hehehe. truly an amazing day, with all those food! <3.

PS : HAPPY WESAK DAY! I remember last time about standard 4? that was when I learned what wesak day was. I matched the day wrongly with the race that celebrates it. I match it with.. INDIA. super paiseh when the teacher told everyone “you ah, chinese also don’t know wesak day!” wuwuwuwuwu T_T.

tada! the machine to make Churros! it’s big and it’s very very very cool. and, that machine isn’t cheap at all. so it is definitely worth it to try these yummy Churros. you’d be begging for more, take my words. =P.

Churros with.. IKAN BILIS? sounds weird but it’s quite a match really! very Malaysian feel. RM5.80.

here’s the two pretty blur pictures! sigh, my unsteady hands! I NEED FLASH T_T.

Banana with Peanut Butter Roti Paratha. everybody loved this but as for me, I have a little allergy towards peanuts. =/ sigh. uwahhh T_T. and the other one is HUGE Churros with fillings. it’s called the Filled Churros. there’s a variety to pick like chocolate, strawberry, orange and blueberry. =D. I like chocolate the best. xD. these bigger ones are more soft compared to the smaller ones too. different type of taste. still, it’s damn good.

so let me introduce you to the next type! FUNNEL CAKES! more familiar to those who have been to UK I guess. (I read about them, never had them before). these are VOLUPTUOUS! it’s really crunchy and the taste, heavenly.

CUPCAKES! <3. unlike other cupcakes, they don’t only look good, they taste good too. really! the cake’s really soft and tasty =P.

how I know it?

that’s because I have a whole box of them for my Birthday!

right, you can also custom make the cupcakes! =3.
