I FINALLY FOUND A PLACE TO HAVE GOOD BRUNCH IN SEOUL!

I mean, REALLY. if you TRIED looking for breakfast in Seoul, the only places you may stumble upon are probably the 24 hour places. there are absolutely no breakfast places in Seoul which I find very weird despite living here for the 6th year now. recently, there are many hip brunch places in Seoul but I haven’t found any that I liked yet. most were very basic; toast, scrambled eggs. nothing special. but not at Little Neck. not only are they visually pleasing, they are also very, very delicious.

how can you not take a selfie with the world celfie?

I came here for brunch with my Yonsei Language Institute buddies during my birthday because it was election day and nobody else wanted to celebrate with me on that day. :/.

the whole place has probably only around 6 tables. not too big hence not suitable for big groups. I arrived a little before 12 and there was already a queue. although I only waited for 10 minutes. also, the interior is also really nice and insta friendly but unfortunately we were seated at the most not photogenic spot :(.

the menu is nothing too broad but enough considering the size of the restaurant. the menu is divided into 5 sections; salad, special, sandwich, pasta and risotto. however, I think that the sandwich is the most popular here for brunch!

they have a much broader drinks menu though. ranging from coffee, tea, juices to cocktails, wines and even beer!

we each ordered ourselves a dish we thought sounds yummiest and here they were!

this is the avocado sandwich. priced at 10,500won. served on toasted wheat bread with ONE strip of bacon and a sexy looking poached egg. they have salad and some fruits on the side too. as simple as it looks, it has a sophisticated taste and all you need to know is that it tastes PHENOMENAL. avocados go so well with egg and it just melts in your mouth.

avocado shrimp pasta priced at 15,000won. I’d say it’s overpriced for pasta but pasta’s in Seoul are generally priced this way so.. it wasn’t too big of a portion but this dish tasted really good too! who knew avocados goes so well with shrimp and cream?! this dish absolutely had the umami factor to it and I guess if you are having it all by yourself the portion is just right since cream pasta is quite sickening if you eat too much of it.

and Little Neck’s most popular beet cream cheese sandwich! priced at 9,000won. this dish is probably the most instagrammable of them all. I mean, have you ever had a pink sandwich before? and look at that fan of sliced apple! it tastes great by itself without having to dip it into the sugar syrup. which I find it really weird. but it is more heavy than refreshing even with the apples toning it down. but considering it’s this pretty, it’s YUMMY!
