[Namdaemun] Yes Dica

hello shutterbugs!

ever wonder about the camera market here in Seoul? well, it’s awesome. I wouldn’t say that electronics here are especially cheap or anything, but they’d fix your camera instead of sending it to the huger factories or the main canon/nikon center. and, there are plenty of 2nd hand cameras which are really affordable!

but out of the many camera shops at Namdaemun, (exit 6 or 7 of HoeHyeon Station)

so a store my friend has always been to is Yesdica. the uncle who works at this shop is realllllllly nice. the first thing he did when we went into the shop was giving us drinks. well yeah because he might earn a lot later on =S. my camera had an auto focus problem so all they need to do was to change the ribbon which isn’t.. expensive. but I still paid around RM120 for it (with a 5,000won discount already) despite it being still expensive but it is better than taking it to the canon center which would easily cost over RM200. Harian Metro Feature

it is my first ever newspaper feature! I got featured in Juice before I think. but I didn’t know when they were going to publish it and it was not a magazine that’s easy to find everywhere so I do not have a copy of it T_T. but this time at least it is a newspaper easily bought anywhere in Malaysia!

I received an email and I was quite thrilled if you’d ask me. I am not as.. active as before but they wanted to feature me T_____T *touched* it isn’t like I am super famous or anything. but I guess this is a great experience and good free publicity =D. more Malaysian readers!!! have I ever mentioned that most of my readers are from Singapore and.. well overseas. haahha,

but yeah, after being in the blogging scene for 5 long years, I finally got myself somewhere!!! (I think ><).

teehee ^^.

[Seoul: Itaewon] my new favourite hang out spot.

I am sorry if I ever wrote that Itaewon is a place that you can skip. but it is true if you only want the Korean bits of Korea. but for a nice night out, Itaewon is definitely the place to go to.

IMG_3719 copy

I have never felt so homesick until the long holidays here started and I have no where to go to because nobody is free to hang out with me T_T. so since I found comfort at Itaewon, I really loved it. the picture above is actually a bar called District. it looks super fancy and I’ve always wanted to go to except it looks way too high end for a student like me hahaha. [Seoul: Gwanghwamun] Yamaya

the thing about Seoul is.. there is no such thing as Yoshinoya nor Sushi Zanmai. you Malaysians should really appreciate the fact that you have Sushi Zanmai because it is so darn good. in Korea, the cheaper sushi restaurants serve sushi 10 times worst than Sushi King. with their not fresh raw fish and uncooked rice. anyway, I was so glad to have found this place in Gwanghwamun where they serve Japanese food that I’ve never even once had back in Malaysia (though it might be available as well).

the entrance. the location isn’t as easy to find but it is pretty near Gwanghwamun exit 1. Continue reading “[Seoul: Gwanghwamun] Yamaya”

Etude House’s Bubble in Mocha Pink

I have never used any other products other than Mise En Scene’s dye colours which worked great and I’ve always felt like my hair were much softer after dyeing it (IKR.) but this time I saw Etude House having their 50% sale so I decided to try theirs for once. I would do a review on the Mise En Scene one but it is only sold here I think =(. maybe next time ^^.

they have the same girl for each box. they just changed her hair colour for every box which wasn’t very professional in my opinion. but Etude House have been upgrading their quality for some time now so I guess they are still alright to use. Continue reading “Etude House’s Bubble in Mocha Pink”

Korean Food 101

HI! I’ve been wanting to write this post forever but I hadn’t collected enough pictures to do so. even now, too, actually. but at least I’ve gathered up enough pictures for post number 1! ^^

#1 Belgian waffle. sometimes it’s really costly but sometimes it can be rather fair.  but the one above costed around 16,000won (that is RM48 holyyyyyy). friend bought it but still it was T________T. we had it in a nice cafe at Samcheongdong. the cheaper ones would cost around 3,000won ^^. but of course much smaller and.. there’s no fruits and ice cream haha. and view. a random day during last autumn. Unhyungung and Samcheongdong.

it was a lovely autumn day and it was the “cultural day” for people of level 5 to visit Unhyungung 운현궁. there were 3 courses where we make tea, wear korean traditional clothes and make cute little hanboks out of paper.

Spring Photoshoot

it was so long ago but here it is! I really liked the first picture as it is very… feelful. haha. made up a word again it seems =D. this batch was taken by Azri (again!) and I have to say good job. his new tilt shift lens was indeed very hard to use but at least it managed to snap this one clear and awesome picture =3.

Crop

it is actually a candid shot since I was waiting for the restroom wth. Continue reading “Spring Photoshoot”
