[Seoul: Myeongdong] Myeongdong Gyoja 명동 교자

if you’ve been to Myeongdong you might’ve spotted this shop with a LONG queue (almost always) called the Myeongdong Gyoja. well, if you’re a foreigner it is not like you would be able to read it because I do not think they have an english translation for it. anyways, it’s next to the back of the H&M on the main street (not the one at NOON complex).

it isn’t hard to spot as they have that long queue of people and the all maroon and white sign. Continue reading “[Seoul: Myeongdong] Myeongdong Gyoja 명동 교자”

[Seoul: Hongdae] 아뜰리에 데코아발림 Atelier Decoa Ballim

one of the best cheesecake they said. I read about this cafe on many blogs and they have all given awesome comments on their not-so-mainstream cheesecake.

located at Hongdae; or  near Sangsu Station exit 1. included a map at the bottom of the post =). this place look like they serve very nice brunch as well but I forgot to take a picture of their very cute menu. =D. I think I am losing the blogging sense =S. Continue reading “[Seoul: Hongdae] 아뜰리에 데코아발림 Atelier Decoa Ballim”

Veritas – 1

like Yonsei and Korea University’s YonGoJeon, or GoYonJeon, we had our own Veritas-1 where Sungkyunkwan, Hanyang and Sogang battles among each other. except ours are much more of a smaller scale since it is our first time and also only the business school took part in it.

this took part some where in May during the Buddha’s Birthday. hence why I missed most of it (I went to the temple!) and got there just in time to see the performances. well, I paid for it so I might as well just go see their concert =D.

first up, we had 10cm! I am a BIG fan of 10cm. they sang “Americano” by the way, which was a real hit in Korea. always being compared to Busker Busker, these folks were always quite sensitive when they hear about Busker Busker hahaha. it was my 2nd time seeing them as I saw them once (VERY NEAR!!!) for the Media Faculty’s graduation concert. =D. Akaraka 2013

So I am 1 month late.

but it’s better late than never hahaha. even though I am not studying in Yonsei anymore, I still love all Yonsei events. and my favourite? Akaraka. if you’ve read my post last year, you would probably know how fun it is already. this year is no exception. but I still preferred last year. not sure if it was because they had students from Korea University and we sang songs to diss them. this year was.. all new freshmens and usual with a new lousy song which I didn’t like.

[Seoul: Banpo] Rainbow Fountain

if you ask me, I’d not recommend anybody who does not have extra time to spend to come here because.. it’s really nothing much.

unless you’re going there with your other half, then it might be quite romantic walking along Hangang river while watching the pretty rainbow fountain.

being here for over a year, it was my first time there.  I guess I was expecting it to be spectacular but it was well, just pretty.

Directions : Dongjak Station (Seoul Subway Line 4), Exit 1 or 2.

the bridge is really long. I always come by Banpo bridge when I take the bus without knowing that this long bridge is THE Banpo bridge. other than the fountain, I actually liked the reflections on the water more. Continue reading “[Seoul: Banpo] Rainbow Fountain”
