if you have watched “Mary stayed out all night” before, you’d know where did Jang Guen Suk hang out at. Hongdae. it was pretty late when I reached there ( around 8 ) and I didn’t have much time left to explore the place. but I gotta say, it’s an artsy place. every cafe there is SPLENDID. actually, not only the cafe’s there, but pretty much ALL the cafe’s around Seoul. the cafe which looks normal is the abnormal one there. but the thing is, there are much more cafes here compared to anywhere else!

Hongdae is basically around the Hongik University area and hence, you’d find many students. furthermore, it’s near Sinchon and Ewha, where two of the most prestigious universities are located at. so this street caters the students nightlife and also where they would hang out for a drink.

as you can see, this crowded street is not only a cafe, clubs and restaurant street but there’s also a WHOLE LOT OF SHOPPING.

the fashion here is incredible. I wanted to buy those clothes so bad but they are all winter wear ㅠ_ㅠ.. so coming here in the summer is probably the best choice. but the thing is, the clothes here aren’t as cheap as other places. maybe because they are boutique clothes, but trust me, you can find something similar for a cheaper price over at Edae (Ewha Univ’s street).

but seriously, sometimes, you should just grasp on to my moto, BUT IT OR REGRET IT.

wuwuwuwuwuwu you should know what’s my regret now. HURRR.

whats this? this is the famous Noraebang (Karaoke) in Korea, called LUXURY. there are plenty of other brands but I must say, ALL of them look good. and this one, you can sing to your favourite songs overlooking the great sight of Hongdae. and the price? pretty much the same with those in Malaysia, but they count PER ROOM instead of PER PERSON (which I think is absolutely stupid.) drinks are misc. I hadn’t been into one but I’m guessing the prices will be around 20k won for an hour? so there, the more, IS the merrier. =D.

this picture made my day that day. really. I was really tired and grumpy at the end of the day because I had a hard time looking for Bauhaus (we looked for it for 2 hours FML!). I walked pass luxury for the 3rd time and decided that I must take a picture of that fella who pointed at me while singing with FULL OF EMOTIONS every time I walk pass!

I’m not trying to say that he is attracted by me. but actually I had been starring at him every time I walk pass because he looks pretty cute U_U. and I guess that is why I got the attention =D=D=D. he is really entertaining =D.

and did you notice that deck above? you can CLIMB up there and sing too! never wear skirt there though. =D.

OKAY NEXT! remember about what I said about REALLY pretty cafes? here’s one of it. I love how they use white ink to draw on the window displays. many shop does that, but they all have their own style and it’s really attractive.

it’s funny how they all put bicycles outside their cafes as a decoration.. or not. and I can just STARE at the decoration of this cafe for hours. IT’S SO PRETTY T_T.

*dies* you bring the most BEAUTIFUL cafe you’d find here in KL to Hongdae, and it’ll probably be one of the most ABNORMAL one. because it looks too normal. D=.

but the ones at Changkat is slowly upgrading! tsk tsk I am so proud!

one thing I’ve noticed there is the DECKS of restaurants. there are 5 floors for this one and all of them are seemingly very good in business that night. you’d see people taking the elevators non stop.

the most artsy building in Hongdae! it’s called the Sang Sang Ma Dang. I did not go in I don’t know why was I so stupid at that time pfft. it looks like a butterfly really. inside, there are all type of room installations and small little creative products. you should really take a look. after what Natalie told me about it, I REALLY FELT SO STUPID FOR NOT GOING IN WHEN I AM AN ART STUDENT. PFFT.

I was so amazed by this building. I wonder how many billion won was used to build this magnificent building. it looks exactly like what I think I would see in the city of Prague (in Czech. pls google it. it’s one of the only places I want to visit in Europe. I am more fond of Asia. IDK why.)

and Natalie said.. IT’S A HAIR SALON. WTH? a HAIR SALON looking like a building in Prague. it keeps me wondering if the hair stylists are angmohs. I don’t know how they relate the building to hair styling. but it is FABULOUS.

there was so many of this particular bar I had to take a picture of one of it. see? it’s HO Bar III! Korean people really do love drinking.

so, finally to my destination. BAUHAUS. it was so difficult to find. but because I thought it would be along the Hongdae street so I just walked and walked and walked (for 3 rounds). asking people there won’t help, they’d always forget where it is T_T. but nevermind, now that you have me. let me tell you.

DIRECTIONS : when you get off the subway and head towards the Hongdae exit. you’d find yourself entering Hongdae at the T-junction. from there. turn RIGHT. and go allllll the way to the end. to what you think looks like the end. you’d see a convenience store and walk by the right alley, then turn left on the first junction (if not, the 2nd. I forgot!) and you’d see Bauhaus! =D.

THE NUMBER OF DOGS YOU’D SEE!! first they would pound on you so you might feel a little scared if you have never had a dog before, but it’s alright! they are all friendly dogs! ( I used to have a Pomeranian =D.)

Peter wasn’t very fond of dogs, but after being there, he found his best friend. tsk tsk. that dog literally sticked to Peter! so adorable T_T.

I remembered the first time when I met these big husky’s. it was in China and I keep telling my dad that “THAT MAN IS RARING A WOLF!! IT’S A WOLF!” my dad kept telling me it CANNOT be a wolf and we had a bet. he went and ask that macho owner (it’s really like how you’d look like your dog. that owner looked equally as fierce pfft) and the owner said it’s a Siberian Husky. BUT IT WAS AS BIG AS A WOLF I SWEAR!

it was pretty sad that I found the place so late and the dogs were… mostly tired. U_U. some of them were even sleeping! but this Schnauzer is very active =D.

Poodles are so cute T_T. they are so loving. and especially if you buy them food, THEY’D STICK TO YOU.

this cafe, the drinks is all at least 5,000won each and they give you a limit of 30minutes. you can stay longer, but you’d have to pay a small amount of fee. or, order another drink. haha. I think it’s really worth it. it’s a small price to pay to buy this much happiness! (my mom was so grumpy that night because we couldn’t find it and she kept asking me to give up. but AS SOON AS she SAW THE DOGS, her mood changed 180degrees. it’s mad. haha.) but dogs are rather playful, so it’s better to keep any small objects. and there’s no food served because the dogs climbs on the table. =3.

Mandy. and that was the first time I met her! I get along well with people. I make good friends with them instantly! SEE?! *COUGHS*.

last Saturday. it was a last minute decision. I went there without even knowing the dress code. and thank goodness I wore a gold belt and a dress.. seemingly gold in the dark. haha. and apparently there was a dress code for Jason’s party as well and I was told what I wore isn’t so wrong either? pure coincidence!

there were SO many bottles. I started of with drinking water and was BOO-ed by EVERYBODY T_T.

I didn’t get even a little tipsy in the end. I think it is because I drank on a fullll stomach. that’s the trick! really! eat before you drink and you won’t get drunk xD.

Hannah Tan! her dress was so bling. it was practically MADE for the event. black and gold!

with Ginny and her BF. I still think Ginny is the prettiest girl from SSG. D=. you must agree.

Dennis Lau– the famous violinist, drunk Tock and myself. haha.

Ringo, Audrey and Timothy! the most famous bloggers in town! and Ringo’s hair is her real hair! JEEZ! all of them followed the dress code!

KYspeaks. he blogs about food. but he’s so skinny. it is so. unbelievable.

Cindy and Felicia. and Cindy’s brother, Eugene behind. haha.  it was awesome partying with them! I was never too fond of partying with guys actually.. I felt rather.. uncomfortable. unless it’s a really really close friend. haha. so having these girls to party with? it was absolute fun! =D.

with the Red.fm DJ’s! Kenrick (okay, except him. haha. but he’s also from Red!), Linora, Mynn Lee (I’d click back to the very first few pictures I had in facebook and I’ll see her face. I can’t believe it’s been so long!) and Terry (be ready to tell him that you love him too!). if you listen to Red FM, it’s impossible to miss them.

Jeremy Teo. say hi to my twin brother! he wasn’t drunk. he wasn’t. he was literally singing to each of every song’s lyrics. how can he be drunk? every event NEEDS somebody like him. =D.

#3 : RAIN’s F1 CONCERT! 비! <3

I have to say, sometimes dressing up accordingly isn’t what I have originally planned. I mean, I hadn’t even thought of it before. it’s a f1 concert, so I subconsciously took out the turquoise top I have and match it with a pair of white shorts. and you know what? do you remember what’s the colour of the PETRONAS logo? I can literally stand there and become the promoter of this event!

even the ticket matches my clothes!

I really wanted to try this. haha. but I was afraid I’d get suffocated. imagine if you fart in there. there’s no way the smell could escape. HAHAHAHA.

and I really have to thank Mandy (also another last minute invite!) for the tickets! I have always been very stingy in buying concert tickets. these tickets were at least RM190+. and guess what? we were right in front of Rain. D=.

because it’s written the gate opens at 5pm, we waited there since then. and like a typical Korean concert, especially MALAYSIAN style. we waited until 9pm. T_T. and that’s what Mandy had to say about the wait.

we thought RAIN was coming out but this came out instead. but it’s very entertaining. (I prefer Rain’s fan’s here over the other time at B2st’s concert. they were inconsiderate, rude, unfriendly and when the “star” came out, they vigorously goyang here and there like as if dirasuk hantu. worst is they treat every other girl like their love rival. it’s MADDD). Rain’s fan’s were really friendly, they give space to breathe and wouldn’t look at you like you’re their rival in love.

*screams!!!* I have my own fandom moments. =X.

SHEEEEH AHHHH SHEEEEH AHHH. (now that’s supposed to be his famous DEEP BREATHINGS in his song RAINISM. teehee.)

I was told that  Shinjuku is probably the most dangerous place in Tokyo. why? well, it has a lot of foreigners here, so you’d have to beware of pick pockets (but this is NOTHING compared to many other cities) and… well.. read on and you’ll know. haha.

Shinjuku’s road. the Shinjuku-Eki (station) is no doubt VERY HUGE, but never hesitate to ASK around to get to the place you want to =).

so before I go into the what I felt is a total culture shock to me, I’d like to tell you about the most delicious doughnut I’ve ever had. BETTER THAN JCo. it’s true.

I bet you noticed that they look.. weird. just weird. well, quite a big number of Japanese guys actually shape their eyebrows. it is TRUE. you can see baldies in their school uniforms with super thick eyebrows shaped into one fine CURVED line. I mean, VERY CURVED LINE. and it is a form of being clean cut.

seriously, it’s like a Super Junior poster. wth.

previously I’ve watched some travel show about rich females in Japan who do not want to be tied up in a relationship, they’d spend thousands of dollars just to get these “call guys” to drink with them. it’s like a relationship with no strings for them. HAHAHA. super awesome.

and if there are males, of course there are females. but then it is very funny, I think I saw more male posters compared to female posters. hmm?

but my goodness, prostitution here is so open it’s like a legal business there. I mean, it IS legal. there are cinema’s with posters outside literally showing naked girls T_T. it’s amazing. that is why the rape cases in Japan are super low. (don’t think I should post any pictures here later I get barred from blogging from the Malaysian gov D=)

I dunno what shops are these. even middle aged couples goes in there.

for some reasons, I am thinking they are love motels pfft. hmm. like, a fully equipped love motel. *faints*.

I dare not go near them to take pictures. T_T. they’d approach you if you’re alone or when your group have no men.

and why are all the cheerleaders so pretty! why!

their skirt reminds me of sunflowers. I really really like their skirt <3.

the Zodiac! I loved this group! they are so funny! they stroke sexy poses and LOOK AT THAT SPLIT. IT’S A FULL SPLIT! HOW DID THEY DO IT?

I am always amazed by how the cheerleaders are so strong and flexible. don’t some of them only join the squad at like.. 14, 15?? at that time my body has become so much more.. inflexible. even at standard 6. I couldn’t do a split. girls, yes maybe they attend ballet classes. but the guys? D=!

“we are really proud of ourselves because we did our best!” YES! THAT IS THE WAY!

not to forget the drummers! they were all stretching before their performance. I thought drums were easy. but it is hard now. T_T. requires a lot of energy! and skills. and focus. it is not as easy as it looks. really.

okay, let’s start off with the INTERESTING part.

this is not something ONLY available in Japan. but eating it in such a cold weather is absolutely JJANG! awesome.

here I present to you, COLD STONE!

so far the most interesting way of eating ice cream. every selection is like an art. the combination of flavours.. oh so heavenly.

wide ranges of things to go with your ice cream.

so here’s how it is, they cook your ice cream on a long piece of cold stone. so now you know where the name come from. they mix fresh ingredients right in front of you. I had banana almond caramel and some matcha (green tea) combination.

it was very entertaining on how he “squeezed” the banana out of its skin. =D.

and what’s more entertaining? they’ll sing a familiar song (I think it’s a disney song!) while mixing it. I bet you can imagine the situation; it makes you smile!

one thing about it is. it is SUPER PRICEY. the tiniest cup of ice cream costs around RM20? U_U. well, as I’ve said, concentrate on the YEN, don’t convert it to RM.

and my RM20 crepe. very famous in Harajuku but I got this in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City. but the thing is, I find it OK. it’s nice. very creamy and the ice cream and cake part is extra delicious. but not something I’d die for (I’d die for cold stone!). but definitely looks good! =D.

remember that mysterious shape I mentioned in my last post? well, here’s another one.. an even clearer one..

this time it’s the traffic light near the Dataran Merdeka area. it’s definitely a sign. but a sign of what? many of us have spotted it and we know that it’s coming. it seemed like somebody have already been researching on this. but what is for sure is that we have been told that this coming 6th of April, something big will be coming up on http://www.kolony.com.my. here’s a video somebody posted, somebody whom have also spotted this symbol. it seems like it is everywhere. IT’S COMING.
