the long awaited day is yet to come (FINALLY!) and I bet many of you out there are excited to go to this event as last year’s one (also presented by Xpax at KLPAC) was a total BLAST. if you’ve never participated in it before, then you really should. have some fun ok! but if you still don’t have a clear image of what Urbanscapes really is, then let me tell you what it is.
it is a user-generated creative arts festival all day long! (organized by KLue. everybody loves this mag.) there, you’ll find all the best the city have to offer – music, arts, film, theatre and fashion, marketplace vendors and more. what’s best is, you get to dictate the show and take part as well!
in detail, there will be X lawn where you can see the singers you listen to everyday on Xfresh fm LIVE. then, there’s The Box, playing you acoustic songs all day long. if you’re into electric, The Sunset Disco will definitely suit you. not to mention that there will be street performances as well. who don’t love those? next, there will also be Indicine playing you all the local short films and videos while the Cinescapes stage will be playing our own local movies! buf if you are more of the classy-quiet kind of person, YES THIS EVENT WILL BE YOUR CUP OF TEA TOO. because there will be art exhibitions. and saving the best for the last, there will be SHOPPING THERE TOO! at the Marketplace. no, it is not like some cheap pasar malam stalls! the stalls are those which sells fabulous, cute, funky items where *coughs* shopaholics like me would definitely not want to miss.
I totally dig this. I’ll date you if you wear this. >=). provided if you have a cute KOREAN face to go along with it hahahaha.

WHY do you need to be at Urbanscapes? because it is very fun lah, doink! their witty and creative styles will make you crave for more. how I know it? well, people who have been to the Urbanscapes NEVER MISSED THE NEXT ONE. and there is of course, a very good reason behind it.
to lure you even more, THERE WILL BE MANY GOOD LOOKING (and interesting!) PEOPLE THERE =D!
see what I meant by CREATIVE? I just love it that they hung the camera like that along with an old converse. who would’ve thought of that!
also, if you are a Xpax/U.O.X. customer, then lucky you! you will be able to get a pair of tickets for FREE! yes, the four letter word.

but that is of course, you’d have to be among the first 200 customers. =D! all you have to do is reload RM30 and if you are not a Xpax/U.O.X. customer yet, simply by a RM30 reload and get a FREE Xpax/U.O.X. starter pack! (each customer can only reload once. remember this!) you will be able to get your tickets at the booth next to the ticketing counter at the event. so remember to be early!
very very good news to all of my species! opps, I mean, to those who love photography as well =D. BECAUSE… there will be a photography contest! it is called the (X)Snaps! you will have to be a Xpax/U.O.X. customer to be able to join the contest which will be going on from 27th of June to 11th of July.
how to join?
at the event, you will have to first snap pictures using you camera or your phone’s camera during Urbanscapes. the pictures MUST be in one of the following categories : colour, fashion, music and design.
THEN, you’ll need to upload the pictures either at the 24hour KL booth area by passing over their media card at the booth
OR
by MeTV, where you can MMS the pictures to 26388. for MMS, you will have to include the name of your fabulous photo, which category the picture is supposed to be in and lastly, your name. write it in separate commas. for example : Miracles,Colour,Jamie Liew.
don’t want to miss even a second of the event? no problem. because you can still join the contest even AFTER the event. you can send the pictures you took via email to xsnaps@xpax.com.my. including the title of your picture, the category, your name and your mobile number. the MeTV method (via MMS) is still on after the event =D. you can also go to the metv website to view the pictures as there will be a special section there.
and the most exciting part! the PRIZES.(for me, everytime I win something I feel like jumping on clouds, really. it is a great feeling =P.)
