PMS.

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

so I am really writing about this =O. today in school Sandra popped out the few interesting topics for blogposts and this one is actually what I am facing right now. although I posted this around 2 years ago but people change right? (okay actually I feel almost the same).

I am feeling ridiculous. I felt like I am a piece of squashed cake. a slug. a lazy worm hoping to be a book worm. I slept really early yesterday because I was feeling a little too weary and thought I could wake up the next morning to study a little. but I was slouching the whole morning. my lower tummy didn’t feel right. like somebody had just squeezed lemons on the inside of my tummy. it is definitely caused by menstruation; I am sure. not to worry it is nothing excruciating but it is just so bothering. and more to that, I felt extremely sensitive too. although I am born sensitive but during PMS, the sensitive thoughts are really negative. for example thoughts like ” am I that bothersome? “, “why am I so dumb.” and “I am so slow.” just fills up my tiny brain in my large head. I am not like this usually, just when it is near or when it IS the time of the month. and there are quite a few times I felt completely normal. mm.

other than that, I actually feel depressed. depressed for no reason. actually, it is nothing big yet it is not completely nothing. it is just like my brain works according to the weather or something. I kept thinking back about the past. the mistakes that could be forgiven and still think it is horrible. the mistakes people did that I couldn’t find myself to really forgive yet together with those which I’ve forgiven. they are stupid memories but at the same time they are just too unforgettable.

and to the not-so-serious part. I feel fat. extra fat. very fat. I will eventually gain weight whenever it is THE TIME. and my skin will turn dull and pale; like a sick person (although I am already quite sick). not to mention that pimples will pop out of no where filling up every oily pore I have. guys often think that PMS is an excuse to everything for girls. but I can tell you that.. do not mess with a girl when she’s in the PMS-mode. it will sometimes be brutal too. as I’ve heard.

HA HA HA. (so..) I AM THE QUEEN OF THE WORLD!

just joking I haven experienced that level of PMS-ing yet. =D.

actually I hate writing an all-text post. because in my opinion it is really boring to read something long without pictures on the bright LCD screen.

my sister’s new palm sized bunny in China. (actually what’s hers is mine. and what’s mine? IS MINE TOO! =D. jkjk). oh my. this makes me smile. =D.

not only does it makes me smile, it melts me. her name is Vivi because my sister said it peed on her shirt for many times. saw her on webcam the other time and she SO DARN CUTEEEEE.

OH MY GOODNESS. T___T beyond beautiful. anyway, don’t give me a bunny for my birthday okay. I don’t want to get peed on. =X.

pictures stolen from my sis’s blog. =D.

CHINA FOOD! again. =D.

like how I like to do it, blog according to the picture heee.

contains food. to hungry people : go fill your tummy first! =D

still not sick of posting about food but this will be my last okay! xD

you see I am so nice that I didn’t put a food picture on top to save hungry people hahahahha! taken that temple which is quite near to my house. I think they change their flower daily or once in a few days. such expensive flowers!

and how each and every one of these old temples are built without using nails or whatsoever is really cool. admirable. can you imagine, people from last time are actually even brainier than most of us today! and I am really curious about how did they get those gold paint from last time. hmm. or is it new? @@.

SO I START! this is the best popiah alike thing ever. popiah skin, sugar+nuts, some crunchy hairlike thing, vege, and MORE VEGES! (I don’t like those vege’s on the small bowls =/)

the correct traditional way of eating this thing. I don’t remember what is it called. so just call it popiah okay. it is only found in Fujian =D.

can you just look at the interior of the room?! it is so so so so so nice. Malaysians should do this too. or maybe because us living here are too stingy to renovate, we only care about the FOOD wahahaha!

3kg. as in eat this and gain 3kg. look at the amount of oil =D=D. but it is damn delicious haha.

not only the rooms are nice, the way the serve things are special too! but this thing kind of reminds me of what those ancient people in those chinese movies use as a toilet bowl. =X.

it is mushrooms. very delicious mushrooms. can you believe it?! mushrooms at this shape! marmite mushrooms =D=D.

chicken internal organs. as in ALL of its internal organs. through bio, it is said to be very poisonous, but through chinese, it is said to be very delicious and it is! just don’t eat it so often lah. =D.

niu zai ku (cow’s ribs) go to any restaurant in Fujian (or is it just Quan Zhou/Xia Men) order this, and you’ll love it. I went to over 5 restaurants and had this, all deliciously served, and all cooked in a different style. =D.

HOHOHO! need me to explain more?

is that a shark in my soup? =O. /gg.

okay lah those two are my most exclusive dinners. I don’t have it often at all (once in a blue moon. no, once in a blue blue moon! I don’t think food like these are NOT worth it, not super delicious yet so expensive. and it don’t fill the stomach!) don’t simply think. =D.

China’s Christmas =O.

that eeky worm-like thing is yam. it look so disgusting that I don’t want to eat it. and that thing behind wrapped with seaweed is actually quite good. it is served in a small restaurant (not that bright =/ but damn packed) in Zhong Shan Lu in Xia Men. said that they sell the best peanut dessert. I don’t like peanuts but it really tasted quite good =D.

remember a few post ago I posted a picture of my dad feeding me something black and it is damn delicious? well, it is this. I don’t know what this is. but it tastes like Machi coated with black “chi ma” ( I don’t know la what’s the big deal! T_T) and sugar. damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn nice. MY IDEA TO BUY IT! aahahahhaa.

I just love winter. you can wear as chio as you want. all those scarfs, stockings, boots… unlike in Malaysia. you wear singlet and shorts and you’ll still feel heaty. actually if you walk around naked you’ll still feel heaty and sweaty =/. the weather is extra hot nowadays. I cannot imagine how people live in places like Egypt. sure die lah right?

not just Chinese Food.

Friday, February 20th, 2009

you don’t have to only eat Chinese food in China seriously. (oh my I am still blogging about China’s food. there’s a LOT to blog about really! super salivating. <3 like it or not just read it! =P.)

here’s the asian-heritage-row-look-alike. a western coffee house. extremely beautiful, quite pricey, great view. and totally no loud ear deafening musics. andddd.. I forgotten to take a picture of the view. =O. anyway I’ve always had this thinking that beautiful places would serve disgusting food because they spend too much on their image and forgotten about their menu; letting people pay for ONLY the environment. living in China for quite a period of time, I have learned that most shops couldn’t survive if they don’t have a certain standard! (or it can be super cheap as well to cater the lower financial status. there are more beggars than guards at some places!) well at least at Guang Zhou, Xia Men and some other places that I’ve been to. never trust TOUR FOOD because they bring you to the worst they can find.

the concept. ahh, the westernized feeling mm. it’s cozy and nice, perfect for meeting up with your business friends or your old friends for some long comfortable chat. this is actually one of my dad’s favourite hang out place in Xia Men. the picture I took of the main building (converted from a house!a bungalow!) is quite.. not clear. so too bad, I took pictures of another one though. hee. it is basically a row of 3 storey bungalows facing the lake at their back yard and most people renovated it and turned it into some cafe. in the row of maybe 10 houses only around 2 is still a HOUSE.

the cafe that I like most (from the outside). white is just so attractive <3. and it feels so mind calming mm.

my dad’s coffee (latte?). very creatively done. and now I want to learn how to do that! but geez if I stare at it often I will be so sad that I will have a lower self esteem and I will always think about the negative part of myself and also always fretting about my caffeine allergy. sigh. can see cannot drink =((. but can smell! (damn torturing =/)

but it is still cool! I want to learn! =X.

if you go to China, you must eat.. GREENTEA ICE CREAM! <3. especially during winter >=D cold only syok. wahahahhahaha *chokes*.

the bestest of the best moousecake I’ve ever had! it is SO damn nice. how can it be so firm yet so creamy? Mmmmmm. missing it already. in fact I wanted to have another piece. but I think it costs around 10-15 bucks ringgit per piece eeheee. not cheap =X. not good right, pay more money and yet it will make me fatter. =/. I just won’t pay to get even fatter because I’ve already paid to get fat. what am I talking about? @@.

Daddy : the best tiramisu yet! (this is actually his main purpose coming to this shop)

Jamie : really! but got caffeineee T_T.

Daddy : a little is alright..

*scoops*

Jamie melted on the spot.

NEXT, korean food in China is WAY better than the korean food in Malaysia. probably better than the one in Korea too. ahm, the cook is a korean so of course right ahhahaha.

chilli squid. this dish that is sold for RM40 in Malaysia, there, only RMB30 (RM15) for a more or less the same portion. it was my first time eating this dish because I am too stingy to pay RM40 just for squids. and oh yeah it is very good <3. I shall learn how to cook it! ( I cooked dok buk kki; korean rice cakes with Yunan’s chilli and it almost killed my family’s tastebuds although they said it is good. at least it is good! evidence is : my sister wanted to eat more eventhough she had an super duper big ulcer at that time. you can ask her!)

Photography or Editing?

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

I remember once when I was watching this apple advertisement, there was this professional or should I say famous photographer from somewhere saying something like “photography and photoshop is a perfect combination”. can’t remember well but it gives that meaning. I am NOT good in photoshop. I repeat, I AM NOT.

so what I did was I digged out some pictures I like which I took in China and– edited it.

this is just a quater of the tang longs displayed okay! there is MANY MANY MANY A LOT OF TANG LONGS! and of course, this picture is taken in some temple near my house hahaha. ( you must be wth-ing because I live near a temple. well it isn’t walking distance, to reach the other end of that town takes around maybe 15minutes drive? Hmm. )

FLOUR DOLLS! (I don’t exactly know what it is called. it is made up of flour and some other stuff so there, flour dolls!)

in Xia Men. this picture was actually taken by my mother. I really like the dolls (and I don’t want to buy it because I am TOO OLD for these =/.) and the uncle sitting there didn’t look like he’s friendly; afraid that he will shoo me or something T_T. so instead, my MOM went to take pictures of it. =D. ain’t it cute?!

the cross road of this row of bars/cafe’s, something like asian heritage row in Malaysia other than the clubs are less noisier and much more comfortable. <3. it actually feels like Korea there! =D. (watched too much of Korean drama’s. and the cafe’s there are similar to the one in the drama : Coffee Prince too!) will get the name sometime later heee.

having open-book test next week. what is the use of it when we can OPEN the book. even worst than assasments and they call it a TEST? hahaha. and whats even funnier is that we can DISCUSS with our friends. Mm Hmm. I bet the questions must be so difficult that we can barely answer it even with the book. the funniest part is that we will sit for the exact same paper the next week. Mmm Hmm.

tuition time. boo hoo. =(.

I heart Food I heart XIA MEN!

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

I just have to repeat, if you are dining in a not-bad restaurant the food is seriously tonnes better than what you can find in Malaysia. =D. (except CWZJ because basically they travel to China a lot to erm, learn. see cousin I’m promoting you!) and it is very very VERY CLEAN. all the plates, chopsticks, spoons are usually sterile! (maybe it is only in Xia Men and places around it). so well, today’s mission is to get you to drool. especially if you’re reading this with an empty stomach. =D.

rooms are normal in China. besides, almost everybody have their own room (not places that are super crowded lah of course!). so no peeking at what other people is eating boo hoo. =(. but usually they have wonderful rooms =D. this one is a little pricey and the view is spectacular but too bad when I am there it’s night time (it’s facing the sea) so I shot nothing.

and in such a unique restaurant how do you order?

well, this is a seafood restaurant. and they have a quite huge menu(points at that bright board, there.). and other than that, usually you just have to point at whatever you want from the tank. whichever that attracts you heee.

scallops there are really HUGE and JUICY. not too pricy too! forgotten the price but it’s much cheaper than Malaysia lah despite that it is in such a nice restaurant.

or you can have the very luxurious ABALONE. I shall dream on about eating such huge ones.

and if you think that you are “special” you don’t want to eat “normal” seafood, you can always have “special special” ones. and the one that I find most “SPECIAL” would be this.

what are they? no they are not sea asparagus nor is it some meat rolled like that. it is.. sea worms. when it moved I had goosebumps. =/. and mind you it is not cheap, at all!

so here and now I present you the 13(or more I don’t remember, at least 13) course meal that stuffed me mad. (not posting every dish though @@, like prawns etc.)

starters! China has the best starter ever. jelly fish heads are one of the most exclusive starter and it usually costs a bomb. as in a bomb for just a starter. but it is worth every penny believe me =D. it is not on the picture. I am just telling you because once I had it and I didn’t bring my camera. =/.

anyway this one is octopus and, some other version of sea worms served with some cold jelly. not the dessert kind of jelly. (ugh =/. before knowing it was worms I thought that it was quite yummyand after knowing it I didn’t even want to take another one. T_T) but the octopus was the biggest treat! it is so damn nice especially when it goes with the sauce (chilli, peanut, wasabi). never had such fresh octopus before, right from the tank! whoo!

I don’t know what is this called.

BABY ABALONES! sold for RM10 each in KL, but a lot cheaper in China, as my mom had mentioned. garlic for the win! =P. and in certain Japanese Buffet restaurants, this is included too! but limited maybe 2 each. the food in those Jap buffets are equally as nice nicer than those in Jogoya! just a not-so high class but still nice place, don’t you think it’s worth it? oh right, it is actually around rm50 only. hehe.

NEXT! muslims don’t see this if not you will be considered sinned!

fuah the very crunchy pork Mmm yumm. there’s some dipping sauce for it too, forgotten to take a picture of it opps. in every place the dipping sauce for pork are usually different in it’s own unique way so it is okay if I forgotten about it. hahaha. something every person (except muslims!) should really try hehe.

TADA! the oversized scallop! bigger than my palm =O.

one of the hugest LALA’s ever. I remember only eating huge (half of that, but huger than most malaysian lala’s) lala’s once in Malaysia. and it is around 3 times more expensive than the same but nicer ones in China. =D. so remember to whack a lot of it when you are there. xD. well, it is like you can’t get Nasi Lemak for only 5 bucks in a Malaysian restaurant in China. (even roti canai “telur” *or any cheao material* costs RMB20 there!)

the outside of the restaurant! ain’t it pretty? xD.

it just reminds me of Cameron Highlands I don’t know why.

more of China to come!
