a week of Singapore – III

Monday, June 9th, 2008

last part already! hurray! or not.

okay! let me tell you what is most attractive in Singapore. no no not the clothes, not the beautiful trees also, and absolutely not the expensive taxi’s although I must admit that it’s extremely comfortable, but still EXPENSIVE LAH!

the most attractive thing is.. PAPAYA MILK! must ask the auntie to add milk and honey to the papaya juice, or else sure not so nice. =P.

img_8654.jpg

it’s very worth it as it’s pure papaya juice and it only costs $2! papaya’s help you go to the toilet you know?! so it’s very very healthy as well =P. and some other people said that it will help girls at 13 or 14 whose boobs are growing to grow even bigger. >_>. oh goodness I’m getting out of topic.

SINGAPORE! better not go in these few months I guess.. because of…

img_8754.jpg

and the pictures taken at the Merlion won’t be so perfect. =(. bad timing for me to go sigh. they’re building some casino if I’m not mistaken, since it’s working night and day, I guess it’ll be done in no time =).

okay, so, on the 5th day, we went to the famous Merlion and Esplanade. for those who doesn’t know, Merlion looks like a fish combined with lion, the very famous thing and Esplanade is like 2 huge durians which is like the Opera House of Singapore. okay I bet everyone knows >_<.

img_8679.jpg

THIS is the very famous 2 durians of Singapore! =P Esplanade. nice place to take pictures. Poserish I know. >_<. inherited from my mom, and I only have her 50% genes..

such a beautiful place that my mom couldn’t help it and POSED dramatically. her poses are really professional btw, it’s even more chio than the ones in the magazine, no supermodel can compare with her you know.. she’s so fully experienced in this modeling thing *chokes*.

and here I present..

MY MOM!

img_8681.jpg

look like some beauty peagent pose imo. there was actually a group of guys walking behind who laughed continuously looking at how “professional” my mom posed. =P.

and you know what? this is not the most chio one..

the most

most

most

MOST

chio one..

img_8682.jpg

you’re laughing now, I KNEW IT! she won some sort of peagent before okay! when she is young. =P don’t play play.

img_8732.jpg

and more posey ones. xD.

from the Esplanade, take a short walk across the bridge and you will find the Merlion. and from that view, you can take both Merlion and Esplanade together =).

img_8768.jpg

under the bridge =D. I know my hair is messy, it’s always like this. can’t help it =P.

img_8803.jpg

having an older sister shorter than you does mean that people might most probably doubt if you are the younger one. =(. people usually think that the “taller” ones are older. I LOOK SO MUCH YOUNGER OK! *rolls eyes* T_T.

img_8870.jpg

these crooked yellow lines means no overtaking. =D.

img_8874.jpg

some really ichiban japanese mixed rice. they will serve it raw to you in a hot plate and you can cook it yourself, very very delicious. sold in Suntec too around the fountain. Salmon tastes the best trust me, and remember to pour in loads of honey sauce ^^.

img_8868.jpg

I thought the Chinese lions looks always like this? (below). but the one in Singapore look tamed =P. and for some reasons it looked very cheerful and happy with its long tongue sticking out cutely xD. but can you just imagine seeing a lion doing this pose? as in sticking their tongue out like this while smiling. errr…..

china_lion.jpg

I always thought that lions like these are very cool. <3.

later on the day I didn’t take pictures already, becauseeee…… I stomach ache. =/

NEXT DAY!!

went to Suntec, the very famous shopping complex with the biggest fountain in the world.

img_8948.jpg

the BIGGEST Fountain in the WORLD, The Fountain Of Wealth.

Suntec City, owned by Lee Ka Shing of HK (richest man in HK, heir to Lee Shau Kee actually, aiks I don’t know but just click on the link and see how rich he is). I just know that his wife, Cathy Tsui is a damn pretty actress, she’s just perfect!<3.

img_8910.jpg

the fountain of wealth when it is open to visitors. it’s said that if u walk 3 rounds clockwise and make a wish your wish will come true and you will be wealthy or something. and it’s a place that one shall not miss in Singapore =). for some reasons, when you look up to the empty huge fountain er.. fountain thingy, it looks like..

img_8943.jpg

it does right?! =P

I’m sorry my drawing skills is just kindergarten standard =’(. I swear if I were drawing using a pen/pencil it’ll definitely look better!

img_8897.jpg

and there is a Koi Garden in it too! look at how big the Koi’s are!

and then we went to Orchard! again. if you were to buy some branded bags, keep the bill and go to the visitors centre, the people will actually give you $20 voucher for comfy taxi’s for every 300 spent =P. and also the centre is filled with internet and OSIM MASSAGE CHAIRS! so when you are tired and so on from the 30+ shopping malls in Orchard itself, go there and have a nice squeeze =). wait, it don’t sound right >_<.

img_8976.jpg

stuffs there are expensive, but I couldn’t resist going to Takashimaya, the food there are yummy and the decos sold there are so pretty and unique, just to see it is worth it >_<.

also, there are these outdoor escalators which I can’t figure out how they’d maintain. what happens when it rains right?

img_9011.jpg

still lacking a lot in Photography =/.

img_9025.jpg

we rode MRT home! to those who haven’t been to HK (or rode on their MTR), the MRT in S’pore looks and feels like the MTR in Hong Kong. both also very efficient but HK’s one is a little bit faster (1-2 mins come 1 time). COMPLAIN!!! why the KTM in Malaysia takes at least 20minutes to come once?! and also it moves like a SNAIL. sometimes if unlucky you’d even get stuck in the train for half an hour (which means yes, the train just STOP there), I’ve experienced that, in my high high heels and it’s packed with people =’(.

KTM LOUSY!

but no choice still gotta take it. =/

img_8859.jpg

PS : now I don’t know if I want to strangle Ji Yuan (also known as Logic Yuan) or thank him. Don’t want to put something so horrifying in my blog, but if you still want to see it, click here. Ji Yuan is so kind that he remembers me, but at the same time so mean for turning me into a monster-looking person >_<. Ji Yuan! remember to make me pretty next time! =P.

Summer Splash Sucks.

seriously I’ve never been to such a disappointing event ever before. they freaking gave out so many tickets and cannot manage them properly.

I even thought that I should not bring my camera because I’d be “SWIMMING” but then its totally the opposite, didn’t even touch the water, could have took so many pictures if I brought it haha. Sandra suggested that wearing our bikini’s bathing at home would be a better option.

FIRSTLY, we saw a very HUGE crowd from the window

dsc00083.JPG

taken with my handphone. ouch.

I didn’t really want to go already, but then my friends and I all planned so well even wore swimsuits inside, so we went in to “JOIN” the crowd and waited for an hour and a half. we wanted to get out of the crowd halfway waiting but then those uncivilized people behind just won’t let us pass. and what’s more is they keep screaming ” TOLAK!!! ” and made people in front fall front, back, and sideways which made my poor feet all bruised now. they stomp and stepped on my feet, so what you think? the people, especially the malay guys kept showing their mid finger and screaming and yelling and pushing and saying more barbaric words when they knew we couldn’t get in.

then the guard yelled out that it’s already packed inside and it won’t be fun even though they get to go in, and yet they just won’t leave but instead they PUSHED even more. I was sooo squeezed until I can barely even breath. luckily a very gentle looking guy was beside us and helped me, Sandra and Carmen to get through and get in front faster also protecting us from getting squished badly. poor guy sacrificed himself to help a few girls that he doesn’t know. and some morons can even SMOKE at that time when we’re already so heaty barely even getting some fresh air and there is no space at all. some even girls. gosh. this really do teach us a lesson not to go for BIG events that are free which gives out unlimited tickets. I’ll never ever go to such event ever again. I’d rather pay than to go to such a packed place.

initially I thought that they only give out tickets to those who bought roxy or billabong’s stuff (which is freaking expensive) and no, it’s printed on every seventeen magazine sold and EVERYBODY, yes EVERYBODY gets it just buying their magazine. I don’t read seventeen anymore so I don’t know. why print so many tickets when they can’t manage them well? what are the tickets for if they can’t fit so many people in? so unorganized. geez.

then later on we went walking around and had dinner at Sakae Sushi, which the salmon there are DAMN CHEAP. 1.90 only! so go there and sapu all their salmons ok! =P.

I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO SKATE! >=(

a week of Singapore – II

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

on the third day, we went to BUGIS STREET! it’s like the most crowded street and it’s more or less like Sungei Wang in Malaysia, just a different style. it’s actually the nicest place to shop. first, the prices are reasonable, and second the clothes are pretty! and also the food there rocks. =P. Just take the MRT to Bugis and go up from Exit C and you’ll see it.

the expensive dress I bought from Orchard is ALSO sold here for at least SGD20 cheaper! damn regret I tell you. *puffs*. as for the price, the dresses/shirts/pants/whatever are ranged from SGD10 to SGD35. the clothes are WONDERFUL, I could have bought more if I were richer. haha. had so much fun in there. although very small, but it’s quite like a maze, you’ll probably get lost in there and never come across to the same shop again. also do bring along your most comfortable shoe despite how ugly it might look because you’ll buy one when you’re there if you don’t have one, high heels are totally off unless you plan to take taxi everywhere. short distance already cost 12$ (RM 25?).

as for the food, I’ve not tried much, but the juices are really worth it, my favourite banana and papaya <3 just for 1 dollar! and the sausages are splendid too! I have to admit that it is not a high-class place, but it’s a fun place to shop for clothes. (unless I’m a BILLIONAIRE, I will just go for all the branded stuff, which I think might be a little more boring.)

I don’t have a picture of Bugis Street but then the sign there is so big that you’ll not not notice it. =)

img_8447.jpg

one of the speciality there I guess, but I seriously have a bad feeling about how it might taste. I don’t think it’ll taste nice, because durian doesn’t have any juice, it’s just mixed with some solutions and it became some type of juice.

img_8454.jpg

the very colourful stairs outside bugis street <3

and yeah! clothes!

img_9068.jpg

$23

one of the latest fashion in Singapore I guess, many girls there is wearing this with shorts or short skirts along with a belt which actually look quite nice, and what more? it’s comfortable! and can also tuck it in to your office skirt and wear it to office too, multipurpose =).

img_9074.jpg\

$ 25

DAMN WORTH IT OK! just LOOK at it! so pretty!

img_9071.jpg

$ 21

sigh, how I wish Malaysia have fashion this nice at a price like this. maybe around RM100 for a nice dress like this in M’sia.

(picture deleted, not showing you *blehh*)

this one, the $69.90 dress with 20% off which makes it SGD55. the one in Bugis Street is $37. can you believe it? I lost RM40 just like that. grhh! @#*&@^#(@)#

img_8475.jpg

famous 1 dollar ice cream, believe me, durian is the nicest! ^^

and next, we went to Arab Street which is just nearby, bought lots of Swarovski Crystals for clothes, nails and gadgets. =D. bought the plastic ones also to put on places that are less visible, like toes, save money okay!

img_8470.jpg

img_8472.jpg

some people might think why spend so much money for Swarovski when the plastic ones are more than 10 times cheaper.

img_9045.jpg

spot the difference! =D

img_9039.jpg

and this is how I got broke =/. actually left of the white colour crystals which cost $6.00 for 144 pieces. so the REAL TOTAL is SGD45! I’m seriously broke broke broke! there are 4 shops that sells these crystals there from what I know since I strolled through all the shops. there is one shop with a very nice indian uncle that sells mostly sworovski and the shop is really bright too, the crystals there are the cheapest! imagine, 10 tiny swarovski crystals here in Malaysia are sold for 5 bucks RM in PASAR MALAM (imagine in the malls). and around RM15 bucks for 144 in Singapore.

later on, we made it to the zoo although at that time it’s already 3 (zoo closes at 6, and mind you, at least 2 hours and a half to finish the zoo)

img_8573.jpg

the signs are damnnnn cute.

img_8490.jpg

my relative! yeah I’m born on the monkey year.

img_8499.jpg

and the most shocking thing is there is a board for the blind too, if I am blind, I don’t think I’ll make it all the way there walking so far just to read what I can read (I think) on a blind person’s encyclopedia. just felt so grateful that I can see =), and you there be grateful too! and as I walk 0n, I don’t see this kind of board already, they must have known that it’s a waste of money and stop making these for the other animals.

img_8492.jpg

OTTERS ARE SO CUTE!!!! I’m so grateful I can see them! one of the cutest animal in the zoo!
img_8558.jpg

and the not-so-cute-huge-leopard-peeing. ewwww!

img_8518.jpg

Kangaroos! a whole field of it. Singapore Zoo is just so cool, it makes me feel like I’m in Australia!

img_8530.jpg

one of the coolest thing you can find in this zoo. the Baboons in a large number.

img_8529.jpg

when I say large number, I mean A LARGE NUMBER! these red backsides can actually be one of the animals you’d spend time looking at the most! there are just so many of them! some of them fighting, some of them caring, some of them lazing..

img_8506.jpg

zomg it’s like ages ago since I’ve seen these rare white tigers, the last time was in Genting watching some magic show with a tamed white tiger. they just look so graceful to me =P.

img_8509.jpg

another thing I like about Singapore’s Zoo is that most animals are just one glass thick away from you, which mean you’ll get to see them up close =P.

img_8483.jpg

parrots bite okay. they bite.

and after the zoo, young girls like me love the.. SOUVENIR SHOP!! especially taking pictures with the toys =P

img_8580.jpg

my favourite toy there, the polar bear xD. they’re just too cute!

I know you think that polar bears aren’t as cute as panda’s, but think again!

knut_berlin_polar_bear.jpg

SO CUTE OKAY!

img_8584.jpg

img_8585.jpg

img_8600.jpg

instead of cheesy wedgets, KFC here sells CHEESY FRIES! not as nice as wedges imo, but nicer than normal fries of course. =).

img_8609.jpg

bats! on my way to night safari after zoo

night safari to me is not as nice as the zoo but it is unique, though some animals couldn’t be seen as it’s dark. there is this cage full of bats which I find quite interesting. I’ve never seen bats before until then =P. took the walking path since the tram doesn’t seem fun to my family, cannot just observe at something we like for a longer time.

always remember, WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES! because although wearing flat shoes, your legs might most probably get all exhausted.

***************************************************************************

next day we went to shop again, no pictures were taken until at night, where I met up with both of my bestest friends who are both Singaporean. I don’t know why either.

img_8650.jpg

and they are Afina and Daniel! if you know them, DON’T YOU TRY BULLYING THEM! they’re my precious <3. known Afina ever since I’m 12 and have been best buds since the day we met despite of having almost the exact opposite personalities, strange but it’s true! always being there for me, even there is no time, she came in her uniform to meet me, love you fina! as for Daniel, he is one of the best person ever, straight forward (true to themselves and friends) and always willing to help his friend and listen to their (me actually) complains on their imperfection of everything and gives good advices. used to talk so much on Skype that we go on and on for 12 hours! *in my memory yes 12 hours!* (and means eat also in front of the comp =))

fina-and-i.jpg

Daniel didn’t open his eyes so I cropped him out hahah. =P. and AFINA IS PRETTY! =D
img_8651.jpg

I know, I have hedious teeth. but it’s at least better than the smokers teeth. *puffs*

ciao! =)

ps : my sis whom some guys are strolling on my blog just to try and catch a glimpse of some stories of her have her own blog already. spent my whole night helping her out, so you like her or not just go view it. =D jeannieliew.blogspot.com.

a week of Singapore. – I

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

actually it’s 6 days to be exact.

it’s my first time in Singapore, don’t ask me why. it’s just so embarrassing to tell my friends that I’ve not been there (used to think it’s just like Malaysia, but I am so wrong). so now I need to go there once and for all to get my pride! but for now, I think I’ll be able to go there anytime already, since it’s so efficient. =D. it’s greater than what I expected! like finding Malaysians all over Hong Kong. people there speak more or less like Malaysians and the MRT there is just like the MTR in Hong Kong! and not only MRT, the buses there are also damn efficient. if I’m living in Singapore I won’t need to always BEG my sister and mother to fetch me out to malls which they usually won’t. the KTM comes like 30mins or more once and it moves like a snail. yes, like a SNAIL. it’s always packed and sometimes it’s so packed that your ass will “glide” with somebody elses. seriously la, if our country’s public transport can be more efficient, we won’t have any “masalah kesesakan lalu lintas” (traffic jams).

expensive place to shop, but great place to eat, before I went to Singapore, I remembered somebody telling me Singapore’s food sucks, TOTALLY NOT TRUE OK! it’s so delicious, and it’s just the food court, restaurants? even more. but of course the price will be even “greater”. to be compared with Malaysian food, I think it’s really expensive, for example, the taiwanese hotdogs there are 1.30(SGD), and the ones in Malaysia having the same taste and sometimes better is also 1.30(RM), and the rate is around 2.37! but the food range here is around 2.50 to 5 SGD for a normal plate of something in the non-air conditioned food court, so if you are eating something that costs more than that, it’s certain that that area is a hot spot. =P.

there is also a nice place to shop, will talk about it later, *winks*.

took a lotttt of pictures, so I guess I gotta divide it into a few parts ^^v.

img_8054.jpg

the view from my window =P

very lucky that I have an Aunt here and her place is right in the middle, Tanjong Pagar, where going everywhere is very simple. and what a great view I have ^^.

img_8077.jpg

Takashimaya, Orchard. not really a place to shop imo, it’s really a bit too expensive, but for holidays.. sure like that la right? =). but if you are intending to buy clothes not from shops like Topshop, LV, Gucci, PWEEEESEEE do not shop in Orchard, liok peoples money >_>. I bought a dress and later saw it in somewhere else that is 20SGD (RM50) MORE CHEAPER THAN WHAT I BOUGHT! felt so damn cheated, and it is stated 20% off, after 20% discount it is still 20 bucks more expensive! wth. I’ll not shop for the not famous brands ever again in Orchard. NEVER!

img_8134.jpg

something damn chio I find in S’pore, damn pro. =P. they actually put this so that their mall will be less wet during the rainy days.

and in Malaysia I guess it’ll be, wet then wet lah! we pay the cleaners to clean the floors. poor cleaners =/.

img_8136.jpg

there’s many of these designer chairs placed in the middle of Central (the mall is named Central, where my S’pore friend said have the yummiest food in SG) that I find damn cute, in Clark Quay

img_8137.jpgimg_8137.jpg

img_8284.jpg

Clark Quay, don’t play play, a plate of salad cost 20+ SGD (RM50 for a plate of salad which u might not know if it’ll taste nice). but of course, it’s for the environment, which is also not worth it.

img_8363.jpg

while walking there is this few ang mohs who walked beside and pointed on top and shouted, ” OMG! WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE?!”

dolphin?

maybe not, but I think it’s supposed to look like a dolphin right? just that the ang mohs are very dirty minded *coughs* and whats more is that there are many of these “dolphins” in Clark Quay.

img_8307.jpg

Clark Quay at night

img_8369.jpg

a shop called Clinic, and their chairs are wheelchairs! nice to see, but I guess it won’t be that comfortable to sit on, it’s non cushion and it has big wheels >_>.
img_8371.jpg

and some are ward beds! so cool right? =P

and guess how the light looks like

img_8380.jpg LIKE THIS!

img_8378.jpgimg_8378.jpgimg_8379.jpg

sit there and get a “blowjob” o.0

I guess the blowjobs are actually some alcoholic drink according to the pictures. =D

img_8409.jpg

some German toys, so love it <3

but I have no idea how they get the idea to sell it here, do they think tourists touring in Singapore would look for German souvenirs? so weird right. but it’s just so damn cute, and expensive. Germany have the cutest toys as always ^^. and the red one in front, SO CUTE RIGHT?!

and I guess that’s all for now, gotta pack everything. toodles.

ps : Happy Birthday Sonnie Aaron <3. muahs!
